A little bird told me about some wedges...

Looks like a milled sole and pretty interesting grind.

Come on guys what do you expect from someone who gets you excited about a simulator and leaves the price out!  He's always holding back something! 🤣

*googles Game Changing Golf Wedge* Oh hell yeah brother, It's about time they come out with the next version of the C3i wedge...the C4i wedge. Sign me up for 3 easy payments of $29.95 + $11.95 S&

Some new wedges will be coming to market in the next two weeks. Word is they will be something that shakes up the wedge world for good...... Cant wait to see!!!!!!

I'm in the market for a couple new wedges.  If they keep the current price point and a fitting goes fairly well, I'll try them out.

Edit: Club Champion is the only place that has edel wedge fittings near me.   I was already planning to do another fitting at the end of the year with the 1/2 off deal so I may just wait until then.  Even though, I'm not in love with club champion for fittings, they do have all of the options to give a feel. I feel like since I've been through a club champion fitting 3 years ago, I know what to expect and to speak up more often to optimize my fitting.

Looks like the new Edel wedges are out at $200 each. Big tech change is adjustable weighting. Same concept as putters and drivers; adjust the weight; heel, toe, center, to control the swing. My first thought was PXG, but when I looked at the pxg site they didn’t mention moving their weights.

Could be interesting to try since I tend to pull wedges and close the face; maybe some toe weighting would be good.

Biggest issue is the ability to try this and experiment with the weights. While I can buy them from Edel, the only option to try them is CC and I don’t want to pay for a wedge fitting just to swing the wedges a couple of time

I really like the setup.  $199 for a forged 1025 Japanese steel head with a very nice selection of shaft options.  I would love to hear more about these unique grinds, the how and the why of each one.

What more about the grinds would you want to know, description on the site seems fairly comprehensive

Ugh. Yeah, I wouldn’t want to spend that kind of dough to “try them out” either. There’s a guy 2 hours from me in Jackson, MS, that did my putter fitting and is going to be fitting the new wedges as well, and thankfully he only charges $40 for a fitting. I found some guys around the New Orleans area years ago by calling Edel and asking for the closest fitters... They were 4 1/2 hours away, but still not very expensive for a fitting. Might be worth the call.

Yes. I’m going to call my guy in Mississippi and book a fitting. Not sure if he has all of the components or not. I’m a CRAPPY wedge player, but I’m tossing around in my head the idea of doing Facebook Live or YouTube for the fitting so folks see the process.

I mean, they look good. But I'm a wedge skeptic. I've hit just about all of them, gamed just about all of them and could put any set in my bag for a round and feel good for a about them.

Right now I've got the Kirkland 's. And 3 of those for less than 1 of these is going to keep these out of the bag(or any other brand for that matter).

Didn't the rtx 4 offer different dot options that did the same thing?

No. Read the article so it makes it more clear than I can, but this is the first wedge ever that has a weighting system to adjust for numerous things in one’s swing, the least of which is one’s lower hand position at halfway back. Yeah, if someone is buying on price, right off the rack, mass produced wedges, they won’t be interested in spending more to have ones that actually fit. Nothing wrong with that, but this technology is brand new. Take a look at the article and the YouTube video I posted.

You know i will probably end up buying these...

On a serious note, the regional Edel fitter is about 30 minutes from me, so I might check them out.

Hmm.  I tend to leave the face open a lot... maybe this would work, I’ve been wondering for years why wedges are stuck in the Stone Age.  Yeah there have been a few “advances”... but this seems to be the biggest.  Too bad they don’t have a way to move it up too, for the ability to move the COG up.

I like the heel grind relief, that is something i custom ground into my 49, 53 & 57 using some shop tools.  Honestly that is a big reason I don't use new wedges because I'd feel so bad grinding away at a new SM8 or Zipcore right out of the box!  😬

And the weight screws are an improvement over my lead tape, but realistically I don't think I could help myself and some tape would find its way on the club.
