Nippon shaft recommendation

Recommended Posts

The 105 and the 120 are different profile shafts. If you feel your swing has changed then maybe go and get fitted again. If you are looking for a heavier shaft the Nippon 125 is the same profile as the 105, just heavier.

Maybe I am missing something but what’s wrong with the numbers you are posting? Their is no club face data, but nothing wrong with the distance or spin numbers. Could be a little higher spin closer to 7k but not terrible

I was thinking the same thing about the numbers. I see nothing wrong. While you mention the 7k that’s just a somewhat older and general thought. But with the ball and club designs of today it’s not always going to be the case. If decent angle is good then 6k for a 7i would be fine just like 5000 with a GI would be. We don’t know what head or ball is being used here.

As we can see in the number with carry and total distance the descent angle looks fine.

@Massgolfer814 what do you think is wrong with your current setup? What do you think you would gain by going to a different shaft?

was fitted last July for irons. Fitter fitted me for Nippon 105S. Been working on my swing since and have been getting consistent numbers. Results below. Do y'all think 105S is about right? what about 120S? 120X? just curious before I buy.

I think your limited numbers look fine. Why do you think you need to change? What changes have you made to your swing that make you think you need heavier or heavier and stiffer?
