So far I've received a lot of good feedback including: go for a 4 wood, try the DHY SIM, don't rule out a hybrid in lieu of a fairway wood. Now that my back is feeling better I decided to go in today and make an appointment. I'll go in two weeks and I am walking in brand agnostic. bens197 6,715 Posted March 19 Author Share Posted March 19 We have a winner... It came down to the Callaway Mavrik and the SIM2 Titanium. What I will say in short order is that the SIM2 may just be the fairway wood that keeps fairway woods my bag. Spin, launch, feel, flight and carry all hit the numbers for me. The Mavrik felt great and was so easy to hit straight but that is also a byproduct of the spin; the RPM's on this head were easily 1000-1300 higher than the SIM2. I really really loved the aesthetic of the SIM2 and I believe that had a huge role in me having some confidence in hitting this off the deck. I ended up going with last years' Diamana FW75 stock in a stiff flex.
