 Testers Wanted (4)

When the pandemic hit last year, lots of things changed in golf. Courses were closed for a while, then they reopened with restrictions. One of those restrictions involved cart use. Either courses prohibited two people--not from the same household--from sharing a golf cart, or people just felt more comfortable not sitting a foot from a total stranger for the better part of four to five hours. So many golfers took to foot, as in walking for their rounds.

Motocaddy_M7 Blog Pic.jpg

The result created a demand like never seen before in push carts, with many companies selling out of them by May. Another area that had huge success was the electric push carts segment.  After all, given the choice would you rather:

A: Carry a 25-pound bag for all five miles
B: Push that 25-pound bag for all five miles
C: Just, you know, walk for all five miles

Ask about anyone, and  nearly all reasonably non-maniacal types would pick C.

That's where MOTOCADDY and it's M5 & M7 series comes in.

According to staff writer, John Barba, "using the remote-control Motocaddy M7 is like having R2D2 as your caddie."

But we want to know what our readers think. We are looking for current walkers/push cart users, who are open to trying an electric push cart. We are looking for both men and women testers, that reside in the US.

We want you to test/review and keep the MOTOCADDY and let our membership know what you think.

How to Apply

In A Post Below List the following Information

First name

City & State

Do you currently walk the majority of your rounds

Do you use a push cart now, if yes which one

That's it. We'll be selecting the testers in the next 7 to 10 days.  So check back here to see if you have been chosen.

I normally walk besides the occasional weekend round.

I sometimes use a generic and cheap push cart but I usually carry. I just switched to a larger cart bag and would love to try something like this.

I walk majority of the rounds I play by myself or with smaller groups. I’m also in the market for one and I love gadgets and testing them. Can’t wait for the review either way.

Walk every round at home course (which I golf once a week) but opt to take a cart different courses.

Currently, I am using a the Clicgear Rovic push cart. This is a great cart but doesn't do the best on the hilly course I play at.

Do you currently walk the majority of your rounds -- Out of season, yes. In season, infrequently.

Do you use a push cart now, if yes which one -- Have tried push carts a couple of times on my course, but it is too hilly.

Want to walk more for exercise but carrying is tough on my lower back. I've been looking to buy an R/C or Follow type cart. I think my course would be a get test of any cart because there is not a flat lie on the course with 50' to 60' elevation changes on some holes. It is commonly described as a roller coaster of a course. What better place to test gyroscopic tracking, cart stability, climbing ability, downhill control, and endurance? All of these are aspects you should explore in a review.

I am particularly interested in whether manual control, r/c or follow control might need so much attentiveness to cart management that it actually distracts from the walk and play?

I look forward to your analysis.

Last year, no. However, after seeing how much I spent last year on golf (and the implementation of charging higher rates for single riders at most courses!), I plan on walking about 90% of my rounds this year... or until my bank account can support it.

I do not own a cart yet. I am in the process of researching which cart would work best for me/finding a cheap alternative to an electric push cart.

Thank you!!
