Testers Wanted (4)

If  you have followed MY Golf Spy at all in the last year you have no doubt read about Honma's effort to gain North America market share in the club business. That's no small task. However, Honma feels the TR20 drivers have what it takes to do that.

The TR in TR20 stands for Tour Release and it’s replacing the confusingly named T//World 747 line. Honma is producing two drivers in the TR20 offering: a 440cc and a 460cc.

According to Honma, the real TR20 driver story is weight, or, more precisely, it’s where the weight is and where it isn’t. The driver frame is titanium but the body is nearly all carbon fiber.

But we are going to provide 4 of our Forum Members a chance to tell us and the rest of the community if they feel Honma has produced a driver to compete in one of the toughest segments to break into and capture any market share.

 Testers Wanted (4)

When the pandemic hit last year, lots of things changed in golf. Courses were closed for a while, then they reopened with restrictions. One of those restrictions involved cart use. Either courses prohibited two people--not from the same household--from sharing a golf cart, or people just felt more comfortable not sitting a foot from a total stranger for the better part of four to five hours. So many golfers took to foot, as in walking for their rounds.

Motocaddy_M7 Blog Pic.jpg

The result created a demand like never seen before in push carts, with many companies selling out of them by May. Another area that had huge success was the electric push carts segment.  After all, given the choice would you rather:

A: Carry a 25-pound bag for all five miles
B: Push that 25-pound bag for all five miles
C: Just, you know, walk for all five miles

Ask about anyone, and  nearly all reasonably non-maniacal types would pick C.

That's where MOTOCADDY and it's M5 & M7 series comes in.

According to staff writer, John Barba, "using the remote-control Motocaddy M7 is like having R2D2 as your caddie."

But we want to know what our readers think. We are looking for current walkers/push cart users, who are open to trying an electric push cart. We are looking for both men and women testers, that reside in the US.

We want you to test/review and keep the MOTOCADDY and let our membership know what you think.

I recently retired, and now play 3 times x week. I intend to start walking again at the courses here in NJ, for exercise and to enjoy golf the way it was meant to be.  Used a SunMountain push cart in the past, but not conducive to the holly course I played then.

would love to be chosen for this test, and vow to go ve honest opinion of the experience.

thank you

All TM Sim Max woods, Mizuno MP33 blades, Vokey wedges, Scotty putters.

I walk all my rounds, even in the summer heat.

I carry my bag but have been looking at an electric cart because the club has just allowed them.

Play over 100 rounds a year, walk unless its over 95 degrees.  Pushing 60 years old and could see this as something I would use constantly.  Thanks for giving us the opportunity to try it out!

I live on a walkable course in FL and walk around 50% of the time. I carry a light bag but would love to try a motorized trolley.
