mylesriley17 3
I use a Lin Q gunmetal made by UST Mamiya. I use this shaft because it helped me reduce spin (this has been a major problem for me before this shaft and a few lessons). Most low spin shafts seem to have very low forgiveness as well, but this did not seem to be the case for me with this shaft, my misses just flew like misses with a mid spin shaft. Another major reason why I use this shaft is because it was what I was fitted for. I was lucky enough to have a fitting from Josh at TPC Sawgrass, and durring this fitting we were both surprised by how much this shaft helped me. I would love to hear what everyone uses Best of luck - Myles Riley 3 Quote sim driver sim 3 wood m5 titanium 5 wood titleist t300 4-6 irons titleist t200 7-pw Vokey sm8 50/54/58 pxg gunboat gen 2 putter
RickyBobby_PR 9,249
I use various shafts depending on the driver and what I go with. Some is tinkering because it’s fun and I want to see what new shafts feel like and how they perform. Usually I have whatever I get fit to which has been hzrdus yellow, Aldila rogue Max or black/silver. I’ve been fit to several UST mamiya shafts. Ventus blue has worked and surprisingly hzrdus smoke green was a good shaft for what I was looking for in feel and dispersion. Josh is a smart guy and has done a bunch of my fittings before he moved to Florida 7 Quote Driver: PXG 0811 X+ Proto w/UST Helium 5F4 Wood: TaylorMade M5 5W w/Accra TZ5 +1/2”, TaylorMade Sim 3W w/Aldila rogue white Hybrid: PXG Gen2 22* w/AD hybrid Irons: PXG Gen3 0311T w/Nippon modus 120 Wedges: TaylorMade MG2 50*, Tiger grind 56/60 Putter: Scotty Caemeron Super Rat1 Ball: Titleist Prov1

ACA_619 55
Ventus Red 5s. Fitter said it was perfect for me due to the flex being a true stiff profile but plenty of launch for me to play a 9* head to keep my launch and spin window ideal.
jaskanski 1,321
Back to using the venerable Grafalloy Prolaunch Red - it just works. Launch and spin are exactly where I want them to be (low/low) and the price is insanely cheap for a shaft of this quality. I liked it so much I got one installed in my 3-wood too. 2

The TD 50 Cat 2 was the frontrunner in distance and accuracy over the stock Alta CB Red and a handful of others at my recent Truespec fitting. Better yet, after a questionable start, I found its groove (or it found mine) and I'm seeing better numbers in play than I did on the LM. 5 Quote G410 Plus, 9 Degree Driver G400 SFT, 16 Degree 3w G400 SFT, 19 Degree 5w ZX5 Irons 4-AW Glide 2.0 56 Degree SW (removed from double secret probation ) ER5v Putter (Evnroll ER5v Official Review)
dlow206 10,582
I play a Graphite Design AD-XC 6S. I selected it because I was a tester for the TSI 2 and during my Titleist fitting, it was the best performing stock / premium stock option that was in the fitting cart. I have a KBS TD shaft waiting to be tried. juspoole 3,280
Ventus Blue 6X for me. Simple reasoning for me, just like so many others. It was best for me during my Callaway fitting with the Mavrik Sub Zero head. In the past was fitted to a Fuji Pro 2.0 Tour Spec with a TS3. Next driver will probably be a different shaft combo, however I really do like the Ventus currently. Since I'm getting a late start to the season this year and will not probably play until May, I'll likely give the the 2021 drivers a chance next year and see if they outperform anything. 2 Quote Driver: Mavrik Sub Zero 9* (Set to 10) Ventus Blue 6X 2 Hybrid: TSI3 Hybrid Tensei Blue 80 X (17.25*) 3 Hybrid 818 H2 Hybrid Hzrdus RDX Black 6.5 (20.5*) 4 Iron - T200 4 Iron Graphite Design Tour AD IZ X Hybrid Shaft Irons 5-PW: T100-S 5 - GW KBS Tour 130 X Gap/Sand Wedge: Vokey SM6 49* SM8 54* Lob Wedge: Jaws 5 Wedge 58* DG Tour Issue Stiff Putter: Phantom 5.5 34" Pro Platinum Newport 2 35" Taylormade Tour Black Spider 34"
StrokerAce 11,769
every shaft I use I was fit in to at one point or another, except the wedges and putter. If I notice something wonky going on when I make good swings then I'll go get re-fit but if you have the opportunity I think you should play the one that you get fit for and ignore the label/brand name/hype in order to shoot your lowest scores. 2 Quote I got something to say then I'm gonna say it. ballplayer002003 1,433
Currently, I play the HZRDS Smoke Black x flex. It's not too bad, but if money was no object I would be using the Whiteboard. That was the Holy Grail shaft for my G10 driver I used for years and years. I should get one and pop a G410 adapter on it to compare to the Accra. I compared the Accra gamer to a couple of EvenFlow's in different flex's. The Accra won out but I am a tinkerer and will probably try a few others as time goes on. JDHolmes 212
Handcrafted Project X LZ 5.5 flex. I use it because it works. And despite being 5.5, it can handle a fast swing when 6.0 flex in other shafts wont handle the hard, fast swing which is 108 for me.I chose it after trying 30ish driver shafts in various products. It's older, but its consistent for meSent from my SM-G950U using MyGolfSpy mobile app
Pupini 65
I went for a full driver fitting a few weeks ago and the best shaft for me was the KBS TD with the Ping 425LST. After going through the fitting, I am now a firm believer that there is no one size its all approach. Just because I like the KBS TD with the PIng, doesn't mean it will react the same when paired with a TM or Callaway head for example. 2 1 Quote Driver: 425LST w / KBS TD60 X-Stiff 3-Wood: Callaway Rogue Sub70 699Pro: 5&6 Irons w/ Aldila NV Graphite Shaft - Stiff - 1/2" short Sub70 639CB: 7-PW w/ Aldila NV Graphite Shaft - Stiff - 1/2" short Hybrid - 939X: with Proforce V2 Stiff SM7 50* & 56* Putter: OPAL VICE - Pro Plus

Hook DeLoft 703
Lots of stiff and x flex shafts in this thread. I'll throw in one for those of us who are speed challenged: The Ping Distanza. 40 gram range, light flex and high launch. It works perfectly for my 88 mph swing with a lazy, smooth tempo. The other day, I was getting close to the theoretical max carry for my swing speed with a 10.5 degree lofted head. At 12 degrees, I probably would have gotten a little more carry. If you are a smooth swinging player with <90 mph club head speed try it out. One day I may try it in a non-Ping driver. 1 1 Quote 14 of the following: Ping G425 Max Callaway Epic Max 5 wood Cobra F9 Speedback 7/8 wood set at 23.5 degrees Callaway Epic Max 11 wood PXG 0311P Gen. 3 6-GW PXG 0211 5-GW PXG 0211 sand wedge bent to 53 degrees Maltby M Series+ 54 degree Ping Glide 3.0 Eye2 58 degree Ping Glide 3.0 60 degree Evnroll ER2 Ping Sigma 2 Anser
