GolfSpy AFG
For whatever reason it didn't come out, a hand injury is obviously no small thing for a golfer. I can remember many commentators talking about an increasingly week grip...now we know why. Imagine trying to play golf at that level and you can't even grip the club how you want to. If it's truly cleaned up it's all the more reason to be bullish on his potential return to top form. I can't wait to see him at Augusta...there was a time he was very much a horse for the course there. sixcat
Two takeaways from the article. First, the loyalty of the people in Spieth's inner circle is fascinating. For this not to get out before he wanted it to is a testament to that loyalty. Good for him and good for them. It's rare in this day and age to find such loyalty. Especially considering the social media age in which we live. Second, the "Spieth needs to fire his whole team" camp looks pretty stupid right now! sirchunksalot, Rickp, tommc23 and 3 others

RollingGreens
I would think the surgery was a 3 month recovery vs the watch and wait see if you can play through it. The bone should heal up if your not lifting of 6-10 weeks. If you look at it that way the pain is the only negative from the bone standpoint. Once the bone is chipped it’s chipped.
