Popular Post Street11
The idea for a 24/7 indoor practice facility stemmed from me not finding any time to play while I lived in Chicago. I was out there for graduate school at Northwestern and ended up as the golf operations manager at a small community golf course called Canal Shores. Fast forward a couple of years later, and I just wasn't playing or practicing anymore because of time. Then I started to think, "How cool would be if there was an indoor facility I could go to at midnight?" So when my family moved back to Utah last fall, low and behold The Links Club was born. Open 24/7 to my members, it has been a wild ride and a lot of learning on the way, but overall I've enjoyed it. Do the clubs have to have the white dots on them to be read accurately? What would you change if you had a do-over??Good questions - So I went with the GCHawk because one, I think Foresight and their technology is amazing, and two, ease of use. The Hawk doesn’t need to picked up, moved or anything for left handers. I can pretty much set it and forget it. The hitting area is massive so really it’s just sooo user friendly and unbelievably accurate. So if you want club head data, you need the club markers. There is a one dot configuration and 4 dot, depending on what you want it to measure. Most of my members will do the 4 dot configuration on a PW, 7, and driver. JFish350
Interesting, My brothers and I are looking into doing something very similar with a more of a tap room idea. we looked at the foresight simulator, but didn’t like it as much as a couple others. The wedges seemed to be off and putting was way to easy like everything was made if it was close. We played a foursome round in 4 hours maybe a little less. If you don’t mind, could you tell me what is the sq ft of your facility and cost per sq ft. I understand if you don’t want the cost out there. Good luck in your endeavor, I hope it brings many many smiles to you and your customers. cksurfdude 1 Quote Sub 70 949 D 9* HZRUDS 60G 6.5 smoke RDX shaft. DriverBreaker
Great idea and something I've always wanted to do myself. At ~$10 - $13/hr, that is better than driving range prices for the data you get! I agree with the GC Hawk as the launch monitor choice. No fooling with switching it for right/left handers, nothing to pick up and run off with, safer against shanks, etc. Solid job! cksurfdude 1 Quote Instagram: @tony_rosselli_ Training Pre training max driver speed: 124mph Current: 130mph WITB: Driver: G425 Max, 9* Woods: 2007 Burner TP 3 wood and 5 wood Irons: Z765 4-PW (1 degree flat) with KBS $-130 shafts Wedges: SM7 50/12/F, 54/10/S and 58/12/D Putter: L.A.B.
