PXG 0211 vs Honma TW-X

Ok I have decided to replace my irons with something a little less demanding.  I have narrowed it down to the 2021 PXG 0211 and the Honma TW-X based on reviews and pricing but I haven’t been able to hit either.  Any one have any good info on either?  Thanks

I only have info on the 2019 0211s and they are wonderful clubs. Nice progressive set

I can’t compare the 2 having never hit the 0211’s but the TW-X irons are awesome. From address the small profile fits my eye perfectly. The wider soles help on the few fat shots I hit from time to time. I rarely hit it thin so can’t comment there. The feel off the face is explosive but controlled at the same time. I have yet to have any fliers but admittedly only have a handful of actual rounds with them.  
 

The TW-X irons hit every aspect I look for in an iron. For reference I tested the Titleist t200 irons for MGS last year and played my best golf of my life with them. These have been better. They have everything I loved about the t200 while adding the thicker sole I need/want and eliminated the flier so far.  I buy/sell/ticker more than most and have no interest in trying any other irons for the foreseeable future.

I imagine you couldn't go wrong with either, given the right shafts and specs.  The new 0211's have very strong lofts and 5 to 6 degree gaps in the short irons, so you need to take that into consideration.  I have the previous generation 0211's and think they are good sticks that are pretty forgiving.  They would also be a good choice if you can find a set in the right shafts.

Yeah given the lofts I was thinking of going 6-G in the 0211 and 5-G with the Honma’s.  I do like the shafts on the TW-X better the have ns pro tour 105 while the PXG’a would probably have the elevate 95’s which I have never used.

Ya the bad thing with pxg is the up charge for other shafts.

just a note on the Elevate 95s.  I just got fit for a set of apex irons and the elevate 95 shafts were the best for me.  I've played modus 105 and nippon 950 recently and the feel and performance of the elevate 95 worked for me really well.   No idea if you will have the same results.

Thanks for the info guys.  I went ahead and ordered the TW-X's.  The price was too good to pass up.  They should get here on Friday.  I might go ahead and schedule a fitting with PXG and compare them both.  If I do I'll post a comparison.

I got them on the bay for $590 including shipping 5-GW supposedly still in plastic and box.  Little over $84 an iron.
