Greatest course near Clearwater Florida?

In May, I am having a “Manager’s Conference” at Clearwater Florida. The managers that golf get to come in a couple of days early and play golf at a couple of courses. Last fall, we went to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, which was awesome.

 

So if you were going to play at Clearwater, Florida and money was no object where would you play?

Well, I floated the idea of slipping away from my Manager’s Conference on Friday to play golf with RevKev and Foz and whoever else could join us. I’ll just say it was not met with an overly enthusiastic response. I will have to content myself with playing the Streamsong Black Course plus the par 3 course and the 2 acre putting green. And I will have to go deep sea fishing instead. Isn’t that how the Gilligan’s Island people got stranded?

Streamsong will be fantastic! I'm not sure it qualifies as 'close to Clearwater' though

I played Lakewood National in November. It’s literally just up the street from Concession, and I know Lakewood hosted a Korn Ferry event a couple months ago. It’s more “Bradenton” than Clearwater for sure, probably an hour and fifteen minutes drive, but it was nice! Cool clubhouse/ outdoor grill. Great service, etc etc. The local boyz could prob give you better insight.

Really like Lakewood National. The Commander course is terrific. Still yet to play the newer track. Word is, once the greens have some time to mature it will be equally as good as Commander.
