I use brass shims from Golfworks. Have also used beaded epoxy and/or added glass beads to epoxy mixes.

One other trick (not exactly recommended but it worked once for me) was i used a old ball point ink pen spring. Wrapped around tip of shaft, coated epoxy over it and got a perfect hosel fit. (ballpoint-pen-springs web search). Of course pending tip diameter/hosel ID determines thickness you may need regarding pen spring size. I just experimented and got lucky.

a pop can cut into the shape of the shim you can get at golfworks. 

another may and I say be fishing line ran up the back.

Driver - 44.5" 5.0 flex 10.5 deg Graphite Design XC 6S GP MCC4+ 1 deg closed

Irons - 5-pw, GW stnd length 5.0 flex same grip 1 deg flat. Type low medium offset cavity back, no diggers

Wedges - 56 and 60 tour grind wedge spinner and mcc4+ grip 2 flat 10 and 8 in bounce

Putter - Makefield VS LH

Ball - truvis

Carried in a Sun Mountain C-130 USA bag - BE PROUD.

HC - LH but 85 is a good number, playing in Ohio.

I'v used both of these methods very successfully as well.  Rough up the soda can with some sandpaper before cutting it up to give it some texture for adhesion.

The European Mizuno tour truck uses a small piece of fishing line in the hosel of all of their iron builds to really create a tight lock so that they can move things around after installation without worrying about it moving on them.
