GregGarner
I had a wedge and putter fitting today (which was awesome) but we ran into two problems during my putter fitting: 1. due to supply chain issues, the fitter didn't have all the demo heads that he normally would and 2. my stroke definitely does not work with most of the most-popular heads. My final recommendation was left as my choice: do nothing and keep using my current putter, send my putter to National Custom to have it reshaped to the specs he thinks I need, or try to find a ~2015 Scotty GoLo 5 (which there appear to be a few for sale out there; apparently Paul Casey used to game one?) So here's your chance - what would you fit me into? (SAM data available if you really want to get into the weeds) His recommended specs are: 15-20 degrees of toe hang (current gamer is face-balanced) 69-69.5 lie angle 34" mid-mallet with a heavily milled face (no insert; he wants more spin on my putts. I've got a 4-degree uplift with a 1.5 degree launch) No more than 2 degrees of loft If you want a bonus point of reference, he also thinks the Bettinardi Queen B 6 or 8 could be a fit, but he didn't have any for me to try. See point #1. So whatchu got for me? cnosil 1 Quote Driver: ZX5 LS MkII 9.5* (@ 9.0*) with 46.5" Ventus Blue 6X 3-wood: SIM 15* with Diamana Limited 75S 5-wood: RADspeed 18.5* with Motore X F3 60S 2i: ZX with SteelFiber i95 Stiff 4hy: TS3 23* with Tensei AV Blue 70 S 4i-7i ZX7, 8i-PW Z-Forged, Modus3 Tour 120 S 50*, 55* RTX 6 Modus3 Tour 125 60* RTX Full Face ZipCore DG Spinner S400 Putter: Toulon Chicago with a Quad Tour or HB SOFT Milled 10.5S with UST All-in Ball: Chrome Tour (but I might still have some Left Dashes hanging around) Bag: Ltd Edition Tartan, blue/green/yellow Using to keep track of my shots Tested: D7 Forged 3i-PW, KBS Tour-V 110S - Official Review Blind Ball Test (Ball #3 vs Ball #4) - Unofficial Review V3 GPS Watch + Tags - Official Review Vero X2 - Official Review The Stack System - Official Review
BMart519
That toe hang angle is close to a lot of offerings from EVNROLL as well as the 2 degree stock loft and face milling... jddaigneault
Scotty Cameron Flowback 5 is the evolution of the GoLo 5. Minimal toe flow, which equates to about 20 degrees of toe hang. Very easily found in your local golf shop. You’d have to get the lie angle adjusted, but that’s easy. And who doesn’t want a Scotty?! This is one of the few demo brands he did have. I tried a couple and I could get a feel for it. My tempo was wacky with them. I'll need to see if I can find one to roll and see how it goes! (Though, count me in the group that thinks Scotties are generally over-hyped. I don't start drooling over them like some do.) jddaigneault 1 Quote Driver: ZX5 LS MkII 9.5* (@ 9.0*) with 46.5" Ventus Blue 6X 3-wood: SIM 15* with Diamana Limited 75S 5-wood: RADspeed 18.5* with Motore X F3 60S 2i: ZX with SteelFiber i95 Stiff 4hy: TS3 23* with Tensei AV Blue 70 S 4i-7i ZX7, 8i-PW Z-Forged, Modus3 Tour 120 S 50*, 55* RTX 6 Modus3 Tour 125 60* RTX Full Face ZipCore DG Spinner S400 Putter: Toulon Chicago with a Quad Tour or HB SOFT Milled 10.5S with UST All-in Ball: Chrome Tour (but I might still have some Left Dashes hanging around) Bag: Ltd Edition Tartan, blue/green/yellow Using to keep track of my shots Tested: D7 Forged 3i-PW, KBS Tour-V 110S - Official Review Blind Ball Test (Ball #3 vs Ball #4) - Unofficial Review V3 GPS Watch + Tags - Official Review Vero X2 - Official Review The Stack System - Official Review
