I have been opening both latches and opening the unit in one go and not in 2 steps but either way works! One thing I did find is when closing the unit back down, the front wheel needs to be lifted slightly for it to fold down or else the friction between it and the pavement keeps it from folding down. Anyone else having that issue? Thanks buddy and heck yea one step is always better than two! Works nicely, too, though if it were me I might re-design the button layout. Haven't tested it yet but there's supposed to be a fail-safe stop if you get too far away from the cart. Another plus, imo, is you can easily operate it from the handlebar with one hand and a thumb for the speed control knob (eg. remote charge dies or you're going thru tight spaces). I have tested mine here in the park I live in and the remote fail safe does operate as advertised. Put it through a pretty good pace and my remote did not die. Looking forward to getting on the course and range with it. Also I found it highly manuevarable I actually live in a mobile home and used the remote guided it out the door and on to the wheel chair ramp. Going down the ramp I had the speed set on 1 and it braked good. Speed position 2 is as fast as I can walk behind it at this time. I did throw it up on 8 and it took off. My wife wondered if I could stop it and I told her it was supposed to stop itself if it got to a certain distance away. I told her at worst it would stop when it hit something. But the shutdown stopped as advertised. However, from my own experimentation, the wheels and axles themselves are a bit of special engineering. The wheels have their own bearings (more on this later). The axles have 2 locking positions for the wheels. In the inner position, the bearings on the wheels are locked to the axle and the wheels are meant to be driven by the motor with power coming through the axles. You can manually push the cart with the wheels in this position but you are using the wheels to turn the motor at this point (basically think, drive gear engaged). I can attest that trying to push the cart in this mode is extremely difficult and outright impossible if the electronic parking brake is engaged. In the second position, the wheels can freespin on their own bearings. I believe this is the manual push mode for use if the battery dies or something happens to the motor during a round. In this position, the axles are not locked to the bearings and the wheels free spin, allowing the axles to remain stationary (think neutral gear engaged). Lol i can never tell when Club Pro Guy stuff is real or just trolling~ Yep that is the way you disinguage the drive tracks-- I had figured it out and Roger confirmed it--- As far as handling and storing it does just fine--- Like I told Roger It could fit in the trunk of my S-500 easily with a staff bag if I did not have so much stuff in there already but that is my fault. But it does fit in the back seat fine. As far as the weight it is a sturdy built unit and a little heavy but did not strain my back too bad handling it. I could run behind it at speed 9 but that would be a 60 yard sprint! 15 hours ago, TBT said: I can see the remote being a “distraction” that’s why I asked about the “follow me” option....with that you don’t have to worry guidance of the cart for the biggest part of the round...it just stays 5 yards behind you. Popular Post golfish!
So this is turning into as much a bag test as it is an electric push cart test! Haven't had a chance to test the Easilock function but will be on the range tonight and will just mount the bag to the cart for testing purposes. Moved my entire bag over and found a few differences from my Datrek Light II bag. The valuables pockets are deeper so more space for bigger phones. I have a Note 20 Ultra so fairly large phone that I will test the fit. I use my phone for the Grint during rounds so not that it would stay in there. The cooler pocket is really big. I can fit a 6 pack of seltzer water with room for ice and whatever other canned beverages you may be sneaking bringing on to the course... I can also fit (though not at the same time as a 6 pack) my 1.5L insulated water bottle and the compartment still zips up. I drink a lot of water during a round (sometimes 3 or 4L in the heat of summer) so the big cooler pocket is a big plus for me especially if I plan on walking more rounds this summer! cksurfdude, PMookie, MattF and 11 others 14 Quote Driver : SIM2 Max 9* MC Kuro Kago Silver 60 Stiff Woods : GS53 3 Wood 14* Mitsubish Tensei Blue 73g Regular Hybrids: 949X Project X HZRDUS RDX Black Irons : 699 Pro Black 5-AW 1* flat KBS Tour V 90 Stiff Shafts Wedges : 52, 56, 60 Putter : Spider Red Bag : lightweight cart bag | Dry Series Bag Ball : TP5 PIX (2019) | ProV1x (2021) Rangefinder : ULT-X Pushcart : M5 GPS DHC Electric Push Cart SoCal, USA Right handed HDCP 16.

I ordered the same bag you did. After thinking things through I think I am going to like the cart bag set up. Like I said before I have never owned a cart bag so this will be new for me. Like you I consume a lot of water and our course even before Covid did not have water on the course and they encourage coolers on the course and they provide bottled water free of charge. A golf cart race would be interesting because the ones at our course are gas and haul arse. I will admit I am not the only one there that knows how to bend a govenor rod. Tpoole22
Managed to get in about 13 holes before dark today. So far I was really impressed with the cart. The GPS really came in handy and was spot on for distance I'm my experience. Since we do not have the accessory pack yet it was nice to have the on screen score tracking. It was super easy to do. I'll try to get a video of this next time. I don't play at any country clubs so the courses that I play on are usually pretty bumpy and hilly, but I got a couple of videos on the larger hills on the course today. I usually walk pretty fast so I kept it around speed 5 or 6 and with the downhill control I had no trouble keeping up with it. I think the video shows the downhill control pretty well. It did tip over at one point going up the side of a hill. Definitely my fault for not paying attention, but when it tipped back the wheels just kept spinning so it seems like it might not be a bad idea for there to be some sort of auto shut off for the wheels if it tips over. I get why the M7 has the anti tip wheel on the back because it's expected that you won't be hands on with the cart but I think it would still be nice to have on the M5. The cart bag is getting delivered tomorrow so I'll get that out this weekend and play a round with it. 20210415_182128.mp4 PMookie, Rickp, cksurfdude and 6 others

It actually flipped up like the scene in Cars with the tractors in the field. First time that happened but as @Tpoole22 mentioned, we don't have the wheelie bar in the back like the remote unit does as it is expected that you will be hands off with the remote units. I think it was because the speed was too fast going up. I think I had it on setting 5. As I was picking it back up, I noticed there is some sort of differential or other feature that makes the wheel on one side stop while the other side kept spinning. May be a safety feature to protect the motor or internal components from damage in such a situation. Will try to get a video of it next time. golfish!
Quick video and picture of the Easilock function. The studs fit into the slots on the "tongue" of the cart and really do keep the bag from moving. It is still easy to remove the bag if you lift straight up. On the romote control ones you can steer like a track loader by pushing the arrows right or left. That was how I was able to steer mine around the corner out the door and down the ramp at my mobile home Edited April 17, 2021 by BIG STU ole gray, cksurfdude, Golfspy_CG2 and 5 others 8 Quote Driver ---- Callaway Big Bertha Alpha Speeder 565 R flex- 5W TM V-Steel Fubuki 60r--- 7W TM V-Steel UST Pro Force Gold 65R----- 9 W TM V Steel TM MAS stiff---- Irons 2015 TM TP CB Steel Fiber 95 R--- GW Callaway Mack Daddy 2 52* shaft unknown junk pile refugee. But just like you said, no complaints just glad I got the bag! First round with it tomorrow. Will report back on how the clubs go in and out of the dividers. Sometimes the Shotscope tag on the butt end of my clubs would get caught in the threads of my old bag.
