Does the cart keep track of the distance walked?

The M7 doesn't however my GPS watch does and it's 7.3 miles.  I've been playing at least three times per week. Last week I walked four times for 28 + miles

The M5 does have a shot tracking option that lets you track shot distances. Not sure if it could keep track of an entire round. Maybe something for a future software upgrade?

You can track your score but it doesn't give you the option to add in number of putts or greens hit. We discussed that initially when we had our call with Roger and it was something that I think they were looking in to.

Within the last week I put 28 miles on the M7 MotoCaddy.  My 70 year ole arse has been humping like a bull in a pen full of heifers.   I can tell ya one thing for sure, if I had been pushing a cart around that many miles, my back would be yelling uncle! It's amazing how much better I feel post round while walking the hills around my course with the M7.

For sure! Never thought I'd walk my home course before. I have a friend who does walk every time he plays and it looks like he's suffering but doing it for the exercise. With the Motocaddy I feel like I can do the same even in the height of a SoCal summer. How are you keeping track of your miles walked? Just based on the length of the course?

I have an odometer on my Garmin watch.  I will be walking through the summer too with plenty of water in the bag.  Plus now the water coolers are cold and full since covid.

Saw another one of these yesterday at my home course, this was an M7, a junior golfer was using it and it seemed effortless, made me want one even more.

Ah Icic. Hmm my phone sort of keeps track but when it's on the cart doesn't track. We are starting to get back to precovid course amenities like water and takes. But even then I never trusted the water coolers. Seen people drink from their bottles and put the mouth of the bottle right up to the spout lol.

My phone does too and I have thought about picking up one of those belt cases for it however being an apple iphone it's rather large.   I get points at Dicks for miles walked so it has crossed my mind.

I definitely get a lot of looks from the older guys around the clubhouse when I walk by because I'm only in my 20s. I'm sure they are wondering how I can have this expensive cart being young.

Well I had a big fail today. I played earlier and tried to take a video of the set up on the screen starting with selecting your course and how easy it is to switch between holes, track your score and hazards. I checked my phone and realized I took a picture instead haha

Hi, I’m new here. I have an M7 and love it…. apart from a fault it has. In fact this is my third M7 and it does exactly the same.

It randomly stops by itself. And I don’t mean the auto-cutout at 120 seconds or 50 meter distance. This can be 5 seconds, 30 seconds, whatever, after the last remote command. But it just stops. About 15-20 times a round. I even make sure I’m holding the remote nowhere near the buttons, in case I was accidentally pressing stop

The only other thing I noticed is that on the updated 2021 version the screen has been updated with an anti-glare screen. But in fact it’s much harder to see than the 2020 version, with was very bright and visible on all lights.

Has anyone else noticed the stopping problem? It’s driving me nuts. Fair play to Motocaddy UK, they have replaced it twice. But each time it means weeks without a trolley for me.

LOL around here if you tell most folks about MGS they will look at you like you have Lobsters growing out your ears. In fact some guys around my course think I bought the thing. They can not begin to fathom MGS.  I tell them I am testing for Motocaddy and MGS I get a deer in the headlights look. Most of the interest besides the first 2 times I showed up with it comes from some of the tourist golfers.

Went outside the box today ( as I am known to do) Put my Mini Staff Titleist bag on it. Fit well and with the angle my bag is at makes it easy to get to to the pockets etc. LOL Roger I was lazy and did not want to transfer clubs to the Motocaddy bag. I have so much stuff the Motocaddy bag stays stocked with balls gloves and tees all the time. I just grabbed the Titleist bag because I had my KZG graphite shaft irons in it and wanted to hit them

Sorry to hear about that problem but that is great customer service to keep replacing it.

FWIW.. I have a different brand electric cart - its remote has "Lock" and "Unlock" buttons. I haven't had to use them, though .. I unintentionally stop the cart when I'm using the handlebar and accidently hit the Go/Stop button in the center! 🤦‍♂️

Yeah there’s a lock on the remote to stop you accidentally pressing it. But I’ve tested this walking along with the remote on the flat of my hand. Even moved things like my phone out of my bag in case it was interfering in some way.

Got in a quick 18 yesterday on a local course that is flat. First course I walked with the Motocaddy. I did not charge the battery between rounds and the last round was on 5/8 so the battery has been sitting for 10 days. The first round was about 5 hours. This one 3. So after 2 full 18 holes (one on a very hilly course and the other on a flat course) the battery is about 50%.

Worth noting is that the handles have not deteriorated at all. I had some concerns early on about the soft material deteriorating in the hot SoCal sun sitting my truck but so far none. Still early summer so we have yet to hit the normal high 90's we see so time will tell.

Shotscope users were informed last week that they were at 99 million recorded shots and were giving a $1000 gift card for use on the Ben Hogan website to the user who records the 100 millionth shot. I almost forgot about this and almost did not play yesterday! They emailed that they reached their goal and anyone who played golf yesterday using shotscope and recorded shots could be the winner of the 100 million shots recorded contest! Fingers crossed it is me! A set of Icons or PTX Pros would look nice in the bag hehe.

Also beat Thomas to the punch and got a video of selecting a course on the screen and how fast GPS is acquired. Faster than my shotscope V3 I think...ok that will be the next video!

Just some quick feedback on the cup holders. The XL cupholders are due in today (to me at least, not sure about the other testers). One thing I noticed is that the way the cup holder attaches to the accessory kit needs to be redesigned. The cup holder just hangs off a small knob so it allows the cup holder to rotate around the knob. That is why you cannot put anything top heavy in the cup holder or it will rotate around and spill out the contents. I assume the design premise is that it should be heavy at the bottom but over rough terrain I can see the cup holder spinning too much, especially with a larger cup. Will follow up with comparisons once the XL cup holder arrives but overall seems the attachment mechanism should be redesigned for future models.

I kind of thought the same thing. Curious to see if there is a difference with the XL cup.

haha It's funny you mentioned the cup holder spinning around.  I put in one of those large cups (with the slim bottom part) in it that keeps ice cold for a long time. This was at my truck prior to heading over to the putting green.  I swung the cart around to head to that way and looked back in the truck for another item. Turned back around and the big cup was tilted over with ice water flowing freely!  😳

Alright so the XL drink holder came in today...

20210520_185600.jpg.75944079b3091371cc270e0db27c4920.jpg

This is the only package I got from Motocaddy so far that I would say is a bit flimsy for shipping. Everything until now was packaged extremely well except for this XL cupholder. The cup holder was shipped inside the retail box with no padding or cushioning inside. The accessory kit was also shipped in the retail box but the items were packaged in a molded cardboard tray.  Maybe Motocaddy can make a similar molded insert for the XL cup holder too? Seems like a bit of a risk to ship in this box with no padding as we all know how careful UPS/Fedex/USPS is with our packages. I mean just look at this Sub70 box I got the other day. One section of the box was completely crushed in. Luckily it was the grip section of the box and there were only 4 clubs (demo clubs) in there so no damage. I guess since the cupholder is pretty light and somewhat flexible there isn't too much risk of damage but I would recommend buying in the store if possible and if ordering online definitely check the package for damage upon arrival.

As for the XL, it is definitely EXTRA large. The original holder barely holds a 12 oz can of beer. This one holds my 40oz insulated water bottle with no problem. Original next to the XL.

Maybe since this holder is longer, it will be less top heavy and have less of a tendency to spin around the attachment point?

Here is a picture of a somewhat top heavy cup that is designed to fit into a standard cup holder.

We shall see if both cups are able to stay in the holder without flipping over when they are filled with liquid. Overall though very excited for this holder mainly because it holds my big water bottle which I can now have sitting out vs having to dig into the side pocket for!

Awesome pics!  I have a large insulated water bottle that somehow leaked water in my side pocket yesterday.  I had to drain the water out by flipping the inside outward.  Having a drain hole in the bottom of the cooler compartment of the bag would fix that.

I thought there was a drain hole in the bottom of the cooler compartment. But it must be to keep the bag truly waterproof? I would say having a drain hole at the bottom of the cooler compartment could be an improvement for the next model?

Got out for 18 this morning and was getting a ton of compliments today. People seem to really like the bag a lot and had quite a few people make jokes about me chasing the cart. Now that it's getting hot outside I can really tell the difference using the M5 vs having to push my other cart. It's going to help out a lot with those middle of the summer rounds when it's 100 degrees and humid.

I was really glad to have the accessory pack with me today. I was able to using the phone holder to take some videos of my swing. Only negative thing that I can say is that I hit a big bump and my water bottle flipped over. Not a big deal because it was closed, but I'm hoping that once I get the xl cup holder on there maybe that will weight it down more to where that won't happen. Still really loving the cart though

I had noticed that right off--- What I do is take a towel before putting the bag up and dry out the inside and then leave the cooler pocket open. All I have carried in mine is bottled water so I get condensation from my ice packs only
