Dad style, I like it.

And I am glad that I am not the only one that does not read the instructions.

Lol yeah I've always been a fan of just winging it, but in this case it seemed like a perfect opportunity to see how fool proof it really is.

I secretly enjoy reading instructions...and then not following them lol

That is awesome to know, I was wondering if it died on the course, how would you drag it back to the car.

Yeah it is well thought out engineering wise. Kinda like taking the drive track gears out of a disabled dozier. Same principle but the Motocaddy is a lot easier

Quick update~ getting a bit warm here even in the deserts of SoCal so not having much opportunity to walk...plus I have a friendly tournament coming up in which I will be riding so I need to get the riding rhythm back so have not been using the cart much lately but looking forward to cooler weather so I can get back to walking again!

It is hot and humid here too but I used mine today with the old Burton mini staff bag out on the range. I did strap my soft side cooler on it with my ice packs. Got on the range and put my new giant umbrella in the stand. I wanted to work on my wedges some. I have been practicing my long and approach game a lot and my wedge game has suffered. But due to the use of the Motorcaddy I can keep my stuff in my larger bag. I was able to hit about 125 balls today in the heat with mostly my wedges. i had my phone out there too playing music no one else was there. I attribute the Motocaddy entirely for me being able to do this. I could carry my stuff and my water plus my chair and rest under the umbrella in the shade

Absolutely love this @BIG STU!!!

Hmm might have to look into this if I want to walk more this summer. I will probably try to walk my local course which is flat. Definitely will wait for cooler weather to walk my actual home course which is much hillier. Also since my disaster in Dallas I have started using sunscreen. Notice a big difference in heat exhaustion since using it.

Is that a Motocaddy product?? I had a giant one I won at a event 2 months ago. It was still in the plastic in the back of my car. Really it was too big for the Jones bag but I went back to the Burton Staff so it fits fine. Worked really well on the Motocaddy spread out the shade so to speak. That is one big umbrella. One of my fellow members pulled up on the range and asked if I was holding a funeral or selling hot dogs? We have a 9 and Dine scheduled today if the rain does not get us. But I will practice this morning the event is at 2:30. Got sorta a mixed bag in the Motocaddy bag for this AM. A couple of Hogan short Irons I have been messing with plus some wedges and my Hickory shafted Wilson wedge.

Big enough to have a hot dog stand huh Stu 🤣........   No mine is not a MotoCaddy Umbrella although I think they should consider adding one to their product line.  Walking in the hot sun is sooooooo much cooler with a nice size umbrella. Plus you protect your skin from the harmful rays shining down.

Sorry to interrupt the M7-M5 review string...

I've been looking at umbrellas like this one.  The reviews look good as does the seller report.  Would like to hear your first use experience with it as I am looking to buy two for self and son.  Particularly interested if the inside color glows like the photo suggests.

I have a big black umbrella that is fantastic for rain and hail that has lasted for years and rides in the golf bag on the push cart for years with no signs of wear.  It is just not my idea of something to block out sun because it is as black as black gets and just thinking of that in sunshine makes me feel hot (not that way).

We now return you to your previously scheduled MGS topic...

Have a look at this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076HLF1Y5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Yes, it's black, but it has the reflective lining in it. I have one and it does lower the temperature.

Do not put ideas in a redneck engineer's head. Hmmm I can attach the other soft side cooler and wrap a couple of Hot Dogs tightly inside or at least 2 Pimento Cheese and Bologna sandwiches.

After a couple of rounds with my new umbrella I am soooooo glad I picked one up. The reflective top repels the harmful rays and you can actually feel the cooler sensation like when you walk out of the hot sun into a shady area. It's a solid option for those who have MotoCaddys are similar electric trolleys/carts.  It would be cumbersome to push a cart and hold one of these umbrellas however it is doable. I would like to see the umbrella holder larger as the handle is thick. It fits however it is a squeeze to say the least.

So quick update on the battery life during storage. I had the cart stored in my truck in SoCal heat for the last few weeks as I have been travelling for work and unable to play much. The rounds I did play I rode in a cart as I am playing in a friendly tournament tomorrow and will be riding so wanted to get that rhythm back. So few weeks of storage at full battery in the heat. I took it out yesterday and plugged it in to see what the battery life looked like after a few weeks of no use and it was still at 100%. Top notch batteries!

Same here, I've been unable to play for a least a couple weeks and my battery hasn't gone down at all either. Even before that I haven't charged it since my last round with it a little over 3 weeks ago. Really impressive battery life!

Actually got in another round today without charging it and its about 2/3 dead now. But thank God for these things when it is 95 and humid. It really saved me today. I could tell me buddy with a regular push cart was struggling.

Oh for sure. I was watching peasants, suckers, other players with manual push carts and it looked like they were not having fun lol

Especially walking up those hills in brutal humidity!   This Georgia heat is not stopping this 70 year old from humping the hills with my MotoCaddy! 💣  I will have to say we have a few walkers/pushers who are still doing it the primitive way... lol

The M7 made for an easy round in 30 degree heat yesterday, which is heatwave temperatures for the UK! It’s worth it’s weight in gold 😉

I guess I had it loaded a little too top heavy yesterday between the water jug, umbrella, phone and training aids in my bag. Somehow managed to flip it over going across the cart path when I wasn't paying attention and the handle dragged across. I think I'm going to install some sort of anti tip wheel myself to prevent this from happening again.

Lol I flipped mine too but that's cuz I was trying to do a burn out. Luckily it was on the fairway so it didn't scrape up the handle like that!

Mid to upper 90 temps and I'm still chugging along with my MotoCaddy however an umbrella is a must. MotoCaddy might want to add an umbrella with their name on it as an accessory. 😉
