I always do 3 swings after my session just for kicks.  Yesterdays were 111,117,108.  I also hit 5 drives into the net and averaged 98 for them. That would be faster if I weren’t standing on a mat. I’m about 3 mph faster when I can use the ground.  For me the 98 is very fast though.

It’s interesting because I did Stack last spring into the first half of the summer and got nowhere. Did maintenance the rest of the summer, once a week or less, because of the heat and time. Resumed the beginning of November and have had a nice jump the past week. I saw it on the course last Friday, too. Playing Saturday this week, we shall see.

Way to keep with it, the progress is almost never linear and those jumps seem to happen when you least expect them.

It was that way with SuperSpeed, too.  But I'm now faster than I was after 11/2 years of that.  I think that's a great system.  The stack is better because it tailor's itself to the individual.

Yes the money you spend is more for the app than anything else and the knowledge being put into that.

And the radar.  Put everything together and the cost to use the Stack is pretty damn high.  But, so worth it.

It's the price of a new driver - I was able to get mine used from someone who gave up quickly and I had the radar from when I was a part of the SuperSpeed test group so in my case it was the cost of a good used driver.

We all have our budgets though.  I'm blessed to be able to afford a little splurge here or there.

Did want to report that I put it all together on a drive yesterday that went 261. Wind and as 5 mph max, mainly across and course was wet so that was mostly carry.

I had one 240 into that same breeze later and there was no roll on that what so ever.

The only “bad” thing was that I was hitting it dead straight, no draw. Hit a few in the right rough because of it.

Did the Speed Priming session before my lesson today and set a new personal best with the final driver swings and the blue Sports Sensors radar:

IMG_20221221_160230_(600_x_450_pixel).jpg.3e7e24a09069f04a1acdebc869cfbd6b.jpg

The previous fastest I can recall seeing is 126 during the baseline for my first Stack protocol. I know when I first got the radar in early 2019 my driver was somewhere around 108 without a ball.

Good motivation heading into the two holidays here to keep at it! I've stuck with the Full Speed Spectrum so far, but with this weekend's cold snap it's going to be tough to keep it up. I'm liking the FSS so far, but I will say the heavier weights take a toll on my elbows/wrists. I've had on/off bouts of tennis/golf elbow like soreness the next day throughout the program. Watching that closely.

I'm seriously considering not doing too much speed training anymore, I've had alot of downtime not able to play for 5ish weeks with left shoulder and left hip pain. I say #### that I'm not missing any more downtime, I'm doing great with 95mph swing with my ladies shafted driver.. I can't see how else I got this pain, so I'm out...

I’m a hacker who loves nothing more than to change how I play, be that grips shafts and heads its all fair game lol…

I understand this - I had some issue from SuperSpeed - I have run into it with Stack though.  When I was having problems my trainer recommended protein pre-workout and Greek Yogurt with berries and nuts post - that helped some - CBD cream was the best remedy though.

I've just started on the stack, I'm incredibly impressed with how well its worked for me.  Just 5 sessions in and my espeed has gone from 94 to 104 already, which was the target I had for completion.  I've no clue how well this will translate to the course but I am quite motivated now to push along and see how far I can go, driving distance has been a real anchor around my game for some time and I can actually believe now that its not "innate" in me to be a short hitter but something I can train to improve.  When I was growing up, we were specifically told to always swing within ourselves, swing smoothly, not try to murder the ball etc.....so much absolutely terrible advice resulting in training people to swing slowly.  Eye opening so far!

Enjoying the thread- I started Foundation in Early November 2022. Completed 15 of 18 in Foundation so far and while gains are not yet impressive ( up 7mph and 23 yards) I’m really impressed with the app, hardware and programme.

I’ve been using a blue SSR up until now but have just read that the Mevo+ is also compatible and recommended. Has anyone any experience of setting up / using the Mevo+ and can comment on its accuracy for ‘no impact swing speed’ ?

I used the blue swing speed radar up until my current Full Speed Spectrum program, and have switched to the Mevo+ for that instead. The Mevo+ takes longer to setup (per Sasho's video, it should be five feet behind the swinging area, still at 12 degrees tilt), but it's much more precise. I don't get wildly different readings like I would with the SSR sometimes, which was very sensitive to setup.

I don't know about the overall accuracy of the "no impact" speed, but I do know the Mevo+ is very accurate with club speed in the latest firmwares, it might read a hair faster than Trackman (what I'd consider to be the "gold standard"), but for the price it can't be beat.

Halfway through my first go at Full Speed Spectrum. Feels like I'm starting to break off my plateau a bit!

IMG_0155.PNG.3ece3117973052f6f90427388878b56c.PNG

I'd consider 102-103 as my starting point, with the 101 speed occurring on a particularly frigid day in my garage during the past winter storm. Last night I actually saw a few 106 speeds but unfortunately I had one low swing that kept the average to 105.

What changed? I've never been much of a New Year's resolution guy, but as I approach my mid-30s I've realized I can't get away with as much nutritionally as I used to. I've cut out the alcohol which has led to better sleep and recovery for the past week, and I cleaned up my diet a bit as well. Going to keep at it, I would be ecstatic to see another two MPH gain by the end of FSS.

Speed has been showing up during my actual tracking as well - over 85 six irons last night after my training I averaged 97+ MPH with 133+ ball speed. And I didn't feel like I was swinging particularly hard/fast.

I'm with you; I've decided to curtail alcohol consumption and I'm already feeling better overall for it.  My better sessions always come when I've eaten well, laid off the sauce, and gotten a solid night's sleep.

Do you think it is possible to use the 3 super speed clubs with the stack app? I already have the super speed clubs gifted to me but clearly appear that the stack app is the nicest. TIA

in my opinion, no it's not. The app is A.I. driven and will change your training programs based on the speeds you are achieving, so if you're weak at certain weights, your program will adapt to improve your performance at those weights. Once you move past the first foundation protocol there will be 4-5 different weights used per training session, all very specific and tailored to you and your results so you wouldn't get the full benefit of the training programs by using the Super Speed sticks

So a few more sessions in and the gains seem to be sticking for now at least. How have people found the espeed correlates to driver real world speed? Like if the gains shown below turn into real world, they can have all of my money forever. 33756404cfab8d95adb997c0272a8ae2.jpg

I've found it to be extremely accurate so far, at every jump in espeed I've questioned if it was possible then within a week or two I've hit one within a yard or two of the suggested potential, this has happened every time my espeed has increased  (mid way through 2nd program) so I have no reason to doubt it. I will add that the distance potential is based on a max effort swing and not one that you would use that often on a golf course, the key is to hit a few balls after each session as if you're competing in a long drive championship, just absolutely flat out, then you'll see the distance potential.

By doing this over time your "cruising speed" will go up and you'll feel more comfortable swinging faster on the course

Agreed; most of us using the Stack find that eSpeed is hyper-accurate, Distance Potential not so much.  It’s my understanding Distance Potential is what is possible with Max Effort AND perfect launch, spin, and weather conditions…not gonna happen.

A boy can dream.....honestly though, the implied bounce in club head speed would do me fine, it'd be an absolute game changer for me to take that to the course.  So many par 4s at my home course that are at 400-440 yards, getting an extra 20-30 yards from the 10 mph additional would certainly save me a bunch of strokes over a season.  I guess since I'm only half way through, still a decent chance to up it further before we start back.  Also started today a golf specific fitness program with a personal trainer, she put me through the TPI assessment and then murdered me with resistance bands, wall balls, and a bunch of one legged exercises, I've been walking like a pirate ever since.

So I saw some real time evidence on the range today. I have a rapsodo LM. My average SS on it over the past 2 years is 93, average distance is 216.

Today it was 96 and 220. I also recorded my fastest ever 101 swing. All drives were at least 15 yard longer than the LM measured. It’s finally dry here and it was down wind

Just stumbled on this feature.  Maybe old news to some of you, but I didn't realize the app shows you how your speeds compared with other Stack'ers in your age range...1933462489_Stackage.png.08698ec2945dc8a6396cc99d97389e19.png

  • 2 weeks later...

I just finished the foundation program and am pleased with my progress.  The app is recommending the neural drive program.  I’ve read the descripton and it makes sense.  Does anyone have experience with neural drive…so I can have appropriate expectations.  Thanks.

I just finished it actually.  Have some patience through Phase 1, then a lot of max swings at light weights in the ensuing phases.  Kind of fun to see the really high speeds you can generate at the lighter weights.  I enjoyed the program; good luck!

Just got this system after sitting on the fence for six months. This is a quality product.  I am very impressed with how well this product has been created.  I am looking forward to seeing progress.

Would love to see a head to head vs all the main SS systems like Stack vs Super Speed vs RipStick and see what benefits each have or where some excel and where some may be better suited to certain swing speeds vs others. What do you guys think Stack has over the others and does it suit some swing speeds more than others?

This is an easy one…AI powered optimization.
3 fixed-weight sticks represents a one-size-fits-all approach to speed training, and one size does not fit all.  You can get faster with that approach, but it’s not optimized.  Add in AI adapting your training through an app based on designed algorithms from the worlds foremost golf biomechanist, and it’s an unbeatable combination (in my humble opinion).

With all the AI powered emails we get through the contact us email/page I have a thing right now against AI haha

Literally 4-5 emails a day saying hey use this AI tool to help your site...

Anyway, I wonder if there were any new systems at the PGA show which we could see break into the market?

I thought about that too, but it’s going to be tough to break into the market unless you can do it better & cheaper at this point.  That’s really the only big drawback of the Stack is the expense…not just the stick, but you literally can’t use it without a radar, and after two years there is an annual subscription fee ($99) to keep getting the AI.  Ain’t cheap…
