revkev
So I saw some real time evidence on the range today. I have a rapsodo LM. My average SS on it over the past 2 years is 93, average distance is 216. Today it was 96 and 220. I also recorded my fastest ever 101 swing. All drives were at least 15 yard longer than the LM measured. It’s finally dry here and it was down wind Getoffmylawn, RollingGreens, edingc and 3 others 6 Quote Taylor Made Stealth 10.5 Aldila Ascent Red R flex Ping G410 5, 7, 9 wood Alta 65 R flex Wilson D7 forged 5-GW - Mamiya recoil 460 R flex SCOR 52, 56 Ping Glide 3.0 Ping Eye 2 grind 58.8 L.A.B. Kevin McGrew
I just finished the foundation program and am pleased with my progress. The app is recommending the neural drive program. I’ve read the descripton and it makes sense. Does anyone have experience with neural drive…so I can have appropriate expectations. Thanks. I just finished it actually. Have some patience through Phase 1, then a lot of max swings at light weights in the ensuing phases. Kind of fun to see the really high speeds you can generate at the lighter weights. I enjoyed the program; good luck! This is an easy one…AI powered optimization. 3 fixed-weight sticks represents a one-size-fits-all approach to speed training, and one size does not fit all. You can get faster with that approach, but it’s not optimized. Add in AI adapting your training through an app based on designed algorithms from the worlds foremost golf biomechanist, and it’s an unbeatable combination (in my humble opinion). ejgaudette, joen and edingc 3 Quote Driver: TSR2, Ventus Blue 6 S, 65g Stiff FW: TSR2 3w, 15, Ventus Blue 7 S, 70g Stiff Hybrids: Apex Pro 3H, Ventus Blue 8 S, 80g Stiff Stealth DHY 4H, Ventus Blue 8 S, 80g Stiff Irons: JPX 919 Forged 5-GW, Aerotech Steelfiber i95 Stiff Wedges: SM9 54 S Grind bent to 55, 60 M Grind bent to 59, Aerotech Steelfiber i110 Stiff Putter: White Hot OG Double Wide, Stroke Lab shaft Ball: Pro V1 Click here for my HONMA TR20 Official Review! With all the AI powered emails we get through the contact us email/page I have a thing right now against AI haha Literally 4-5 emails a day saying hey use this AI tool to help your site... Anyway, I wonder if there were any new systems at the PGA show which we could see break into the market? I thought about that too, but it’s going to be tough to break into the market unless you can do it better & cheaper at this point. That’s really the only big drawback of the Stack is the expense…not just the stick, but you literally can’t use it without a radar, and after two years there is an annual subscription fee ($99) to keep getting the AI. MrKSTOKES
UPDATE Just finished the full speed spectrum which was recommended after the foundation course. Another leap forward so extremely happy with progress so far, considering I started before the foundation course at 90mph to now be at 112mph is mind blowing. Key points that have helped. 1. Commitment & consistency - sounds obvious, especially considering the app sets reminders for your next session but it's committing to 3 sessions a week for quite a few months and life gets in the way sometimes. 2. Watching the videos on the stack website where Sasho explains the results of various people, found it extremely useful to set my expectations and not expect progress every single session. 3. A personal one this, started using the Tour Tempo app to try and remove an old habit of trying to swing by numbers and place the club in a perfect position on the backswing, this led to a slow jerky backswing with poor rhythm. Found Tour Tempo pretty difficult at first as it was so far out of my comfort zone but after a short time it all started to flow and definitely helped with an increase in speed. Should have time for one more program before the season starts for me in the U.K. so will keep grinding to see what I can achieve this summer. 2 pics below are the before and after from completing the full speed spectrum program. edingc
Finished Full Speed Spectrum on Sunday (first program after Foundation), and my progress check last night. Not worried too much about the driver swings not progressing - the 195gram weight went up three miles per hour and that seems to correlate to the progress I saw during the two months of the program. Additionally, I tweaked a muscle in my neck on Tuesday and it was a little sore last night. The app recommended another round of Full Speed Spectrum, but I'm going to go with program recommendation No. 2 which was Neural Drive. Specifically, I am going with Neural Drive for variety and because of the website description: "The Neural Drive program is also effective for the golfer who struggles with the concept of maximum effort swing." With it being a 24 session program I'm looking at finishing right around mid-April which is the beginning of my full golf season. At that point I'll probably transition to Cruiser for the season. I will also be re-doing my baseline with the Mevo+ before starting Neural Drive. My previous two baseline and progress checks were completed with the Sports Sensor Radar and now that I use the Mevo+ for the sessions, I'd like to get all of the numbers lining up correctly. ejgaudette, Bang60, MrKSTOKES and 1 other 4 Quote Unofficial WHS Handicap: 6.4 / Anti-Cap: 12.3 (Last Updated May 29, 2023) Driver: Callaway Paradym TD (10.5°, -1/N), 45.75", Fujikura Motore X F1 6X | Fitting Post 3 Wood: Cobra RadSpeed Big Tour (14.5°), 43", Fujikura Motore X F1 7X 20° Hybrid: PXG 0211 (2020 Model), 40.25", Mitsubishi Tensei AV RAW White 90X 4 Utility: Cobra KING Utility (2020 Model), 38.5", Aerotech SteelFiber i110cw Stiff 5-PW: Ben Hogan PTx Pro, 37" 7 Iron, Aerotech SteelFiber i125cw Stiff | Club Champion Fitting 50°, 54°, 58°: Edel SMS, V Grind, Nippon Modus 125 Wedge| Official Review Thread Putter: L.A.B. MIHIGO26
I have an opportunity to purchase this. However I am a 16 index and in truth a relatively poor-average ball striker. Is this worth doing to add speed or am I better focusing on strike/technique? I am aware these sell out here in the UK very quickly so if I don't pull the trigger now I might have to wait until next year etc. I am also going through some lessons just now.
