I want THIS car for carrying my clubs! Always been a dream for me:

1978 Cadillac El Dorado convertible! When I was a kid, there was a man that used to drive his through the parking lot of our swim and tennis club each day. He had a big shaggy dog that sat in the front seat with him, and I LOVED his car! Light blue, white leather interior, etc. Yeah, the spare poses a problem, but I think I can still get a few sets in this boat!!!!

Since I prefer a sedan with a trunk over driving a truck, minivan or SUV, I like others, am concerned about storage so I actually take 2 sets of golf clubs and luggage when searching for a new car and the very first thing we do is pack the trunk. If all that does not easily fit we move on. Last year I found a perfect solution and combination of luxury, comfort and storage in a 2020 Lexus 350 hybrid. It worked well on our trip to Michigan with stops for golf in Indiana, Michigan and Iowa and we averaged almost 48 mpg.

This topic is near and dear to me as fitting a full set of clubs in a cart bag, with a push cart, is a requirement of any car I own. Interestingly, I find sedans often work better than SUVs because sedans usually allow me to pace the cubs across the trunk behind the wheel wells. SUVs usually have much smaller pockets behind the wheel wells that prevent this possibility. A great example is my BMW 3 Series as compared to BMW's X3.

For the record- The new Supra will fit a full bag of clubs and a Clickgear 3-wheeler.

I'm a sales manager at a Chevrolet dealership. Older customer said if his clubs and his wife's wheelchair would fit in a C7 (2016)Corvette, he'd buy it. Brought his clubs and her sport model, low profile chair, we placed them under the hatch, which closed with ease. He grinned, and an hour later, drove it away. I see him quite often at local tour events, still grinning and driving his club hauler.

If the stories are true, the development of runflat tires was driven by GM wanting to get rid of the spare tire in Corvettes because their target demographic needed to be able to fit golf clubs in the car.

Saw a new Bronco in the wild yesterday. Did they run it through a washing machine on the hot cycle? They did a Trailblazer and shrunk it. Less cargo room than the new TB and $14K more.

Yeah the sport models look particularly small to me.

the last one looks more Range Rover sport sized to me. But that’s purely from the pictures. No idea on the actual dimensions.

While I like some of the styling elements, I'm not sure the whole package is there.  If I were in the market for a real rugged 4x4 SUV my search would likely start with a 4runner.  From there I'm not sure.  But I'm going to be living the minivan life for a while anyway.

Then I'm also partial to sedans over mid-size SUVs.  The accord I used to have had a lot more space than a CRV and the trunk allowed my clubs to be carried quietly.  I hate when you get these supposedly "big" SUVs that are too narrow to hold a set of clubs across the back.

I was googling "sooped up" 4runners as I was typing that lol but didnt attach. I think everyone knows where I stand on vehicles. Curious if a lifted truck could get a little storage area underneath the bed for clubs 🤔

I’ve been trying to find an EV the past year or so. Very few pass the golf club test, nevermind two sets of clubs. Hoping some new stuff comes out that will fit a couple bags.

The original Bronco was not widely accepted either, only gaining popularity later in life when there weren't many around anymore.

I would be more interested in the Ranger if I was looking at Ford.

When I bought my 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac, I took two sets of clubs and two pushcarts.  They just fit in the 4-foot bed under the tonneau cover.
