As we get closer, I'll provide more details, but right now I've requested 3 tee times beginning at 10:30. 

EDIT: - If there are others that want to join in - please advise asap so i can reserve a 4th tee time. Visas for those from Michigan and Indiana will be issued at no charge

Note the 'grounds crew' thinks we have another Open Qualifier coming up and has kept the rough high - so bring lots of golf balls. And hopefully those bas****ds don't put the pin at the bottom of this tiered green on #6

Considering I was down there last time (in 2, no less), I might be ok with it.

I remember some of the putts on that hole...just plain unfair.

I try to remember that most guys setting pins aren't golfers, aren't paying attention, don't get paid a lot, and kinda don't care. It's not malice that does it.

There's a course in Illinois I've played a few time. A couple years ago, we were playing the day after a "groundskeepers revenge" tournament. It was rough what they could WITH malice on some greens with decent slopes to them.

We had a Club tournament a couple of weeks ago and they set the pin on the downslope. Walking off with a double was considered a good effort,

Should we open up a contest to all forum members to see how many balls go swimming August 15th on this straightforward Par 3?  Hmm let's see between the 12 of us maybe............... Note: they do sell golf balls at the Proshop. 

For those that haven't played it - it's a straightforward 160 from the tips, 135 from the whites onto a green no larger than my garage that slopes to the water on 2 out of 3 sides - the 3rd is a small greenside bunker. AND it's into prevailing westerly winds from Lake Erie!

Correction on the garage comparison: I think the tee boxes are waaaaay bigger than the green.

Remember this uphill Par 3? It's about 160 from the whites and you don't want to go long and end up in the rough behind the green. A chip from that rough will guarantee that the ball rolls down all the way into the collection area. Note: the picture doesn't do the slope on this green justice.
