crooked adapter help

had a shaft made for me off eBay (had postive reviews) and the adapter is crooked.  As you can see in the pics the wall thickness isn't even. Can this be saved? I have reached out to the seller and have not heard back yet but I wanted to see if this is repairable.  I have no experience with graphite, only have done some iron reshafting.

If the shaft prep is anything like the adapter, then the whole thing is pretty much toast. Words fail me.

I can't say that I've ever seen such an off-center bore on an adaptor. It can't even be accounted for by thinking that it's a .370 hybrid adaptor fitted onto a .355 driver/fairway shaft (though it looks maybe like there's some kind of shim in there?).

The adaptor could be pulled and replaced, if you have a shaft puller so that the graphite isn't damaged. It looks like it was some aftermarket knock-off adaptor with astonishing bad tolerances.

Wow that’s just bad! I would start a dispute process and try to get your money back, I’m not sure that it’s save able

Thanks guys.  Yeah, Im guessing it was a really poor aftermarket adapter.  How he could not notice it or try to pass it off as okay really pisses me off and gives me zero confidence of sending it back to have fixed.  Says no returns but we'll see what he says.  Worst case I'll try and find someone local that can pull the adapter and I pray it can be saved with a quality adapter.

The adaptors are never straight in as the angles are there for the different setting.  How does it adjust if the hosel is a straight in piece ?

Did you compare it to the OEM  ?  Did you actually install it in the head  ?   

In your photo there seemed to have a bit more offset than normal OEM, but that could be from the camera angle also.

Compare it with you OEM side by side and send that comparative photo to the seller and go from there.

See if the ebay seller will take it back (he pays return shipping) if not, then paypal dispute.

The shaft looks like it may be salvageable, just that it is using the worst adapter I have ever seen.  That's some low quality knock-off garbage there.

You can see said shaft next to OEM shaft.  It barely fit inside.

Im getting a full refund so all has worked out.

Glad it worked out.  It does show more of an angle than the OEM .

There is an outside chance when the tip was not inserted fully into the adaptor, it may show more offset.  But regardless, whether the cause was the adapter or the fault of poor assembly work.  It's kind of hard to have that in your mind when you tee it up each time.  I would want to have it returned.
