Tour of Mizuno NA Assembly Plant

Recommended Posts

With Mizuno winning the Most Wanted Players Distance this week, and so many Mizuno fans here, I thought this was an enjoyable video to watch.

It's a tour of the Mizuno assembly plant outside Atlanta, GA.    Gives a pretty good idea of the start to finish.   Seeing those shelfs from floor to ceiling filled with club parts, is like being in candy store for golfers..ha

thank for putting the video, i'm not a Mizuno player due to price and starting back golf again after 10 years but I will probably be one within 5 years of so, sad part is that i'm a lefty so option are limited but after watching that video, no wonder those irons cost a lot.

Thanks for sharing this! I've been a Mizuno guy for a long time and love their feel. This got me hopped up for a new set but I'll wait for the next JPX iteration before pulling the trigger. My JPX 919 Forged are serving me well, as did my 900's, 825's, MP-H5's, MP-67's, etc......

Just attended a Mizuno demo/fitting day. Great experience! I think I'm leaning toward the 921 Hot Metal Pro at the moment!

Thanks for posting the video! I am a bit surprised, though, that Mizuno isn't manufacturing the iron heads. The video made several mentions of their inspection/QC process checking the heads that the plant has received "from the manufacturer." So I assume they subcontract out the heads.

Does anyone know for sure? Not that I'm changing to another company. ;)

I was surprised to hear about them having to do QC upon head arrival as well. I too, thought they did all their own forging so it was a surprise. But then again, any additional QC steps only adds to the reason we buy Mizunos. Maybe someone can shed some light on that.

I won't be changing manufacturers either as there just aren't any clubs that have the feel that my Mizunos have. BTW, one of my cousins just went with the Hot Metal Pros and he absolutely loves them! He is a 3 handicap and has been at this a long time so I completely trust his judgement. I would pull the trigger. I am tempted to give them a go as well!
