What Was Your Worst Shot of the Day?

Yesterday ... hole 16 at our home course, believe it’s the #18 handicap and it’s a short baby par 4 that’s a dogleg left. Isn’t drivable from the tee, and simply requires a 5/6 iron on down from the tee. 

Hit a great 5i off the tee (was downwind aided) and had 73 yards in. Proceeded to catch my 58° just a hair thin and it flies off the back of the green. Walked to the back of the green to find my ball just sitting up in the marsh, playable and I’m thinking, just make bogey and get of here. 

Got out of there with a quadruple. Took 7 strokes to get the ball in the hole from 73 yards out.

LOL love it. This will be a big one for alot of us I am sure! Good topic....may not want to reminisce some days lol

LOL! I’d imagine it’s very relatable for many of us. Man, this game can break you down and undress you in an instant. And there were other subsequent bad shots on that hole, but that 2nd takes the cake and created the ensuing mess.

I honestly would’ve been much happier with a quad after a terribly sliced tee shot, two lost balls and a 3-putt. 

But no, 73 yards out and still finished with the same ball 7 strokes later.
