Equipment ?

I need suggestions on a hybrid or wood that is great off of fairway 200 yards or so. I swing regular shaft having problems with 4 wood of these tight fairways. Thanx guys

Sounds like you want something with a hot face on it... the Callaway super hybrids are pretty well known for their hot faces. Definitely worth a try.

On a different front, you can also do a speed training program and pick up club speed... more speed = higher launch as well as the ball going farther... you can do it in the gym with the right program (Fit For Golf is my go to)

What model 4w are you playing now?

what’s your miss/issue with the 4w?

Is you issue getting the ball in the air?  If so check out the Mizuno STZ fairways

I’m missing right sometimes fat terrible feeling . It’s a Bridgestone stiff graphite shaft great off tee but not on deck

Sounds like a swing/technique issue more than an equipment issue.  You are probably fine off the tee because you have an upwards angle of attack.  However when you are hitting a fairway wood off the ground, you should have a neutral or negative angle of attack

Anyone from Central mass?  I was a member of a top 10 list 9 holes called Whitinsville C.C. Purely, Donald Ross great semi private course in Mass. Other coursesin the area Pleasant Valley, Worcester country club, Blackstone National, Highfields and others

Agree. Typical type miss when success is off a tee.

Many including myself when not paying attention get the ball too far forward with wood off the deck and end up swing like off a tee

I have an Epic Flash 4 Hybrid and it goes between 190-210. Regular flex shaft. I like it because I can swing it like my irons, I struggle with a wood off the deck. So the 3 hybrid may go your 200 carry that you are after. My swing speed for my hybrid is around 85

Just played Blackstone National today! Never played Whitinsville, played North Andover CC another Donald Ross 9-holer two weeks ago.
