golfish!
Looking for recommendations on Trackman bay rentals in my area. I am in SoCal more specifically in San Bernardino County. I know about George Pinell Golf in Rowland Heights and No Bogey's Golf way down in Laguna Nigel. Any other recommendations? Not looking to get into lessons but just want to log some Trackman time to get some swing data. Thanks! nofives 1 Quote Driver : SIM2 Max 9* MC Kuro Kago Silver 60 Stiff Woods : GS53 3 Wood 14* Mitsubish Tensei Blue 73g Regular Hybrids: 949X Project X HZRDUS RDX Black Irons : 699 Pro Black 5-AW 1* flat KBS Tour V 90 Stiff Shafts Wedges : 52, 56, 60 Putter : Spider Red Bag : lightweight cart bag | Dry Series Bag Ball : TP5 PIX (2019) | ProV1x (2021) Rangefinder : ULT-X Pushcart : M5 GPS DHC Electric Push Cart SoCal, USA Right handed HDCP 16.
Clayton
I don't have your answer, but I was wondering if you have ever tried the Foresight GC Quad for a launch monitor. TXG Golf on youtube uses one.. .and I was planning on doing a gapping session on one soon. Maybe the same kind of thing you were planning to do on the trackman. golfish!
golfish!
I have hit on a GC Quad at a Roger Dunn a bit closer to me than Laguna Nigel. I don't know if I can rent a bay there as they have them for all the testing bays and it is usually pretty packed. I am actually just trying to get some baseline data on my swing so I can compare to my Flightscope Mevo. The Mevo seems to be consistent across the majority of my shots but seems a bit off on club head speed. I figure I would try to get on a Trackman since it is a radar based launch monitor like my Mevo. I also want to get some data that the Mevo does not provide such as angle of attack, face and path, etc. Clayton 1 Quote Driver : SIM2 Max 9* MC Kuro Kago Silver 60 Stiff Woods : GS53 3 Wood 14* Mitsubish Tensei Blue 73g Regular Hybrids: 949X Project X HZRDUS RDX Black Irons : 699 Pro Black 5-AW 1* flat KBS Tour V 90 Stiff Shafts Wedges : 52, 56, 60 Putter : Spider Red Bag : lightweight cart bag | Dry Series Bag Ball : TP5 PIX (2019) | ProV1x (2021) Rangefinder : ULT-X Pushcart : M5 GPS DHC Electric Push Cart SoCal, USA Right handed HDCP 16.
BayAreaGolfGuy
Have you looked at Wired Golf in Santa Monica? They do not use Trackman or GC Quad, they use Full Swing, but you can still get all of the data you are looking for except for angle of attack. Who knows, maybe you can get AoA and I just don't know. You can see the data that is available here. I've only gone once but felt like I got what I needed. You can book by the hour or half hour. They have memberships or you can just pop in for a single use. You just need to bring your own balls, which I actually prefer. golfish! 1 Quote Woods/Hybrid: 10.5* K15 SF Tec, 16* K15 SF Tec, 20* i15 5i-PW: RocketBladez SF Wedges: 50*,54* RTX ZipCore 60* SM4 64* Mack Daddy 2 Putter: Impact No. 3 CB Ball: MTB-X or Z-Star Bags: Pioneer (cart), Hopper (stand) Push Cart: CaddyLite One Swivel V8
challsincharge
If you're looking for club head speed, GCQuad gives you the most accurate reading. Trackman 4 is great with ball data but not perfect with club head data. There is also a difference in reading from Flightscope and Trackman data. Flightscope measures club head data right at first impact (when the club contacts the ball) whereas Trackman measures club head data at full compression which means Trackman will show lower club head speed vs Flightscope. I'm in SoCal too and I love doppler radar tech, but none of these bays are outdoors and doppler radar tech definitely takes a backseat to GCQuad indoors. Roger Dunn in West LA has GCQuad and allow you to rent out one of the private bays. One of the workers will be with you since they're technically supposed to be doing a fitting, but they're cool about you just wanting to get baseline data. It's $150 for an hour though. TBT
You might look for a Top Tracer equipped driving range, there is one down the road from me, you get to hit real balls outdoors so you get to see ball flight and get the data from the Top Tracer technology. Bays rent for $20-40 an hour depending on the time. look for locations here https://www.toptracer.com/locations/ Quote XR Driver Matrix Ozik 8m3 Black Tie Shaft King F7 3W UST Mamiya Chrome Elements 7F4 Shaft King F7 5W UST Mamiya Chrome Elements 7F4 Shaft King F7 4 Hybrid Graphite Designs Tour AD-HY 95 Shaft PXG 0211 DC 5-PW Mitsubishi MMT 80 Shafts RTX ZIPCORE 50*,54*,58* UST Mamiya Recoil 95 Shafts Metal X Milled #7 with SuperStroke 2.0 grip MTB Twitter: @timldotson Instagram: timldotson Facebook: TimDotson

Plus it is always packed there. I have hit on a Top Tracer range before. Definitely lots of fun. Thanks! I also like your XR headcover. Is that an actual XR club under there? I used to play XR irons but traded those in for my current Mavriks. I do still play the hybrids though.
