Purchased 3 wedges, 50/12, 52/12 and 58/12

Hi All.

I purchased 3 wedges 50/12, 52/12 and 58/12

the 58 one is shorter than the other two. Should they all be the same length?

Not necessarily. It's very common that lob wedges are shorter than other wedges. It just depends on the brand, some are same length, many are not.

Why 12* bounce?

I'm with @fozcycle on this....why are all 3 wedges 12 degrees of bounce?  Bounce is your friend, but having a choice of bounce with your wedges gives you options based on lie conditions.

You may want 12* on your sand wedge but not so good for gap and lob Wedges. It all depends on the course conditions that you play. Tight lies demand less bounce, Sand & thick grass call for higher bounce.

Congrats on getting the three wedges. I have played my GW/SW/LW at same lengths & bounce in the past. But the lofts were gapped minimum ~4 degrees (I.E., 50, 54, 58). Mine were high bounce and chose for thick grass at course I played at the time. Only when I play tight lie courses or winter golf do I switch to lower bounce in 2 of 3 wedges. I like high bounce for sand shots. But with wedges everyone is different. Good luck with your wedges.
