GolfingMike 83
I work in the industry at a retailer. Ping sent out a mass email about production issues for components in Vietnam. Everything is delayed until the covid shut down ends over there. Then you have to worry about shipping wether it be on ships or flown over. It’s sad to know that covid is affecting everything and unfortunate for those waiting. Keep your heads up chaps and just be patient. Quote TaylorMade M3 irons and mix match everything else. RTurcott
My wife was fitted by Ping in July, G425 woods and Irons. The woods dribbled in about 6-8 weeks. We are still waiting on the irons and are being told November. At that point it won’t matter for us as our season will be over here in Ontario. As long as the are here by April we will be ok. We haven’t paid for them yet either. I personally waited over 13 weeks for TSi D,3w & 3h early in the season. Every industry is affected unfortunately. As frustrating as it is, there is nothing we can do but be patient and wait it out. fixyurdivot and mikeanthony 1 1 Quote TSi4 10° w/ stiff Tensei White TSi3 15° w/ stiff Tensei White TSi2 19° w/ stiff Tensei White I-Blade 4-PW +1" Blue Dot Vokey SM5 52°,56°,60° O-Works Tank 7 AVX Link

If it isn’t heads , it’s shafts or grips. The golf business has boomed due to COVID but the companies have not been able to follow. It really has very little to do with the companies themselves. The supply chain has been a disaster for a year, it doesn't matter what it is, it's a problem. Ping's issues are exacerbated by the fact that their plants are in Vietnam that are continually shutting down. I work on the export side from the US, it's a mess but the import side is way worse. Just one example we had some containers stuck in a trans shipment port for 7 weeks. fixyurdivot 1 Quote Stealth 2+ 9 (Diamana PD 60 S 45") Stealth 2+ 15 (Diamana PD 70 S 43") G425 19 (Raijin 2.0 85x) G425 22 (Raijin 2.0 85x) ZX7 5-9 (KBS C Taper S) Vokey SM9 45 10 F (KBS 610) Vokey SM9 49 08 F (KBS 610) Vokey SM9 55 08 M (KBS 610) Vokey SM9 59 04 T (KBS 610) Spider GT Splitback 34" ProV1 #23 Twitter @THEZIPR23 "One thing Golf has taught me, is that my muscles have no memory." They originally told my PGA Club Pro & fitter to expect 8 weeks for delivery. I'm fortunate that my Pro has played PINGS for 30+ years and sends PING a lot of business. They are now telling him the 8 weeks is date is still good which would be late October. For what it's worth.
fixyurdivot
It seems like there was a short period of time early in the year that PING orders were getting through the build process with only 3-6 weeks delay... then the bottom fell out. When I ordered my ZX5's through Fairway Jockey (now owned by True Spec), on 5/26, they told me to add 4-6 weeks longer than their current 4-6 week build time if I chose the G425's. The ZX5's arrived just short of 7 weeks ARO. Meanwhile, at the other end of the spectrum, PXG is having product sales and shipping inside 2 weeks... bonkers. As for PXG they have limited shaft options compared to earlier in the year but they were able to offer most of them because they stocked up on shafts and they have had a lot of head inventory on hand. Their heads are made in China and other than shipping delays of future heads they will be able to sell and ship clubs pretty quick. mikeanthony
Getting caught up on this thread and I’m disappointed to read that there’s no positive news on the horizon. If it’s any consolation, I will say that now that I’ve got the G425 irons, I regret canceling my initial order after 10 or so weeks. And who knows if I would’ve rcvd that initial order by now … but after 2 weeks with the new sticks, I absolutely love ‘em. These irons are worth the wait, albeit the communicating of timeline could’ve been better across the board. I’ll add that 2ndswing has brand new in stock, Green and White Dot irons … and used Blue Dot. https://www.2ndswing.com/ping/golf-irons-and-iron-sets/g425/?facet=ManufacturerID:405#used fixyurdivot 1 Quote Driver: G410 SFT 10.5* 3W: Speedzone 14.5* Hybrid: TS2 19* & 21* Irons: Forged Tec One Length (5i-GW) Wedges: T22 55* & 59* Putter: 002 Mid-Mallet Ball: Callaway Chrome Soft LS & Prime-X

I intentionally had my fitting this month since I had heard rumblings of the supply chain delays. Even the 6-8 weeks delivery may have given me 1-2 outings before Old Man Winter shut things down, but I was hoping to have them for my winter sim league. I guess my Strata boxed set irons will get one final run before becoming clubs for my father-in-law when he visits. I loved the look and feel. My fitting came down to T200 vs ZX5, and the v-sole won the day since I am working on my low point and the v-sole saves the fat hits.
