Most Worrisome Clubs: One length wedges. I am worried a little about distance control and gapping at the bottom end of the bag. As it stands today I never hit my 60 full but with the one length I may have to hit some full to cover the lower end of gapping.

I will say that when Wedgie let me try a set of One Lengths last year, the short irons and wedges were my absolute favorite part of it. I had zero problems adjusting, and as a low ball hitter, I loved the higher flight I was getting out of them.

In my  :wilson_staff_small:  carry bag:

That is awesome insight. Hopefully I’ll be pleasantly surprised. Should be really nice to dial in one swing.

A big part of every test is always whether or not the new gear will stay in the bag. For me, most of the Cobra stuff is a shoo-in to remain in my bag. The obvious standouts are the fairway woods and hybrid, since I'm very uncomfortable with my current clubs in that slot.

The biggest question for me is going to be the wedges. Right now I'm gaming the Cleveland CBX wedges in 52° and 58°, and I'm getting the SnakeBite wedges in the same lofts. The CBXs are super comfortable clubs for me, and are incredibly consistent, give me good distance control, and are majorly forgiving. I haven't had a chance to swing the SnakeBite wedges yet, but with the success I've had with the CBXs I'd say going into the challenge the odds are 50-50 between which wedges I have in the bag after the challenge is over.

Me: hey good morning, yes, I'd like to change my order on the radspeed driver...

Customer service: um ok, what would you like to do?

Me: I'd like a 48" shaft installed instead of the standard length so I can hit bombs like Phil.

Customer service: ...

Me: ... *Whispers* bombs.

In this scenario, you should’ve “called” TaylorMade because most of the bombs were hit with the mini!!!

😂😂😂

I saw Phil’s WITB this AM and wondered how many folks will go buy a Mini today, or add a 47.9” shaft to their bag! 😂😂😂

Driver was at 47.9 ( epic speed triple Diamond). That’s the club he was hitting bombs with

he was hitting the Taylormade original one  well, but that was at standard length (and he didn’t have it for the final round because the face caved in)

FTR, I knew these were coming for over a month now and already had the conversation with Cobra anticipating such a request.  They are a limited edition, not even available for your friendly neighborhood Staff Admin 😞

Well the no news is good news right now. Cobra hasn’t gotten back to us to alter any of the selections we’ve made. Either that or they saw my spreadsheet, laughed, and tossed it to the bottom of the pile

I'm not getting a mini driver, but I did buy one of their large 3w heads to try in a similar way Phil was using his mini driver.  I'm not going to be hitting 11.5 off the deck though so the large 3w makes more sense to me.  Hopefully it'll be a keeper.

Remember I’m not part of the official challenge and my order was placed well before your guys.  But two more pieces of my Cobra Bag arrived today.

Went out for a quick 9 and hit them several times, I moved up or back to get what I thought would be the distances I’ll need for each of them.

I was hoping for 170’ish for the 4 and 160’ish for the 5.  I was maybe 10 yards short of that for each.  I’m wondering how much of that is due to the shorter shaft being a OL.  I’ll have to hit them directly next to my Srixon ZX 4 hybrid and G410 4.

That said they look great and had a very nice feel to the shot.

Was looking to see if you had your irons yet... not quite on those or did I miss the post?  Still very curious about the OL irons and wedges.

That's good feedback, I'm just not sure I want to shell out $130 for the Link plus renew my subscription (which is due in two weeks). With the money for those two things, I can nearly get four lessons or put some money toward my winter Skytrak setup.

I had very few issues with Arccos during #CC4, but it has been very hit or miss this year so far. It doesn't help that Android is a moving target of security/compatibility and there are a huge range of devices to support, but I'm using the same Samsung S10e as last year. I've noticed way more erratic GPS behavior and it really makes me question the value of "knowing my distances" when I'm not certain the shot was actually detected near where I hit it and not when I pulled it from the bag or when I put it back in.

The GPS inaccuracy isn't likely Arccos' issue. But, I'm stuck in limbo trying to decide if paying $100 to renew is worth it. I've looked at getting an old iPhone, but they're not significantly cheaper than the Link.

I tired Arcoss and it worked good but the added fees for each year and needing my phone led me to try Shot Scope which has gone pretty well actually, but it does have less functionality currently.

You've been an on and off Arccos user in the past, correct?

And larger question to the competitors - Android or iPhone? Or did everyone go with the Link?

Yup last year I played about 5 rounds with Arccos so I will just pick up where I left off.

I will be using my iphone and have an apple watch, but will be primarily using the Link they are sending everyone

I know you didn't ask me, but I've had a nearly flawless experience with the iphone.  The Arccos FB page seems to be really helpful for issues.

Interesting...I got a free set of Arccos sensors through Taylormade since I ordered a driver for myself and a hybrid for my friend using my account. I placed the order through the Arccos site with a link through TM on 4/12..

This is as of today..

I have the Shotscope V3 and will most likely stick with it because I don't want to have to pay a subscription fee to use Arccos. Plus I have an Android phone which based on the feedback here is not as good at picking up the sensors as an iPhone so I would need to buy the link on top of it. WIthout the subscription, what do you get out of the box? Any shot tracking capabilities at all?
