I mostly stuck with the driver off the tee - went with shorter woods and the hybrid a few times when there were hazards I was trying to avoid. And yeah, when my swing is grooved the driver is easy to hit and produces bombs! That course was very tight though, with not much room for error, and I also had to warm up hitting into a net instead of on a range, which makes it harder for me to get things sorted out, especially at 6;30 am when I’m still half asleep MattF and MaxEntropy 2 Quote Driver - Radspeed XB, Aldila Rogue Silver 70-S 3 Wood - Radspeed, Aldila Rogue Silver 70-S 5 Wood - Radspeed, Fujikura Motore X F3 6-S 7 Wood - 0341x Gen 4, Mitsubishi Tensei AV Raw Blue 75-S Irons - Pro 225 4-5, 223 6-PW, KBS $-Taper 120 Wedges - King Cobra Snakebite 52° & 58°, KBS Hi-Rev 2.0 S Putter - Stroke Lab Black Ten 35" Ball - Chrome Soft X LS Powered by 2020 ExPutt Official Review | 2021 Cobra Connect Five Participant | 2023 SuperSpeed Official Review

Other companies clearly operate a more lean operation where they order certain shafts/grips in more of a Just In Time fashion. Heck - TXG - a custom build shop - ordered tons of heads, shafts and grips to prepare for this and mentioned on last week's livestream that they don't really have any delays in building customer orders right now. This was a big reason why I chose Will Peoples. edingc
Bags look great! One thing I really love about what Cobra has been doing is providing excellent color ways for golfers across the spectrum. When I think of Cobra, I think of bright yellows and oranges, but I know not everyone loves that look. The more muted grey/white combo looks great, just like the peacoat/red option on the woods and the matte white "Avalanche" color from last season. That being said, I rock my bright yellow/black Cobra-x-Vessel bag nearly every single day at the range. Have yet to see another bag like it. sirchunksalot, Nolan220, GolfSpy_SHARK and 4 others 7 Quote Unofficial WHS Handicap: 7.5 / Anti-Cap: 13.0 (Last Updated Feb. 19, 2024) Driver: Callaway Paradym TD (10.5°, -1/N), 45.75", Fujikura Motore X F1 6X | Fitting Post 3 Wood: Cobra RadSpeed Big Tour (14.5°), 43", Fujikura Motore X F1 7X 20° Hybrid: PXG 0211 (2020 Model), 40.25", Mitsubishi Tensei AV RAW White 90X 4 Utility: Cobra KING Utility (2020 Model), 38.5", Aerotech SteelFiber i110cw Stiff 5-PW: Ben Hogan PTx Pro, 37" 7 Iron, Aerotech SteelFiber i125cw Stiff | Club Champion Fitting 50°, 54°, 58°: Edel SMS, V Grind, Nippon Modus 125 Wedge| Official Review Thread Putter: L.A.B. txgolfjunkie
I got rained out this afternoon but was playing decent before the skies opened up. I missed two fairways by a club length and the third by four paces. The Big tour 3 wood is quickly becoming my new go-to for par 4s. I'm averaging 278y off the tee and hitting 72% of my fairways with it. The Tour 5 is so easy to hit off the fairway or rough. And the driver finally saw multiple pokes over the 300 mark... And it's really starting to fly straight. The one green I missed by 10 ft and then proceeded to flub my chip (hence the short game 0.0 strokes gained) but then nearly sank the second chip to save par. The irons are spinning the ball a little bit more than what I'm used to and I wonder if the AMT shafts have something to do with it in the mid and long irons. I hit a lot of greens but only 3 approach shots flew the distance I wanted... The others hit short and stopped on a dime. I'm even playing the Titleist Pro V1x left dash to reduce spin. Anyone have insight between my normal gamers (DG X100) and the AMT white x100? downlowkey, russtopherb, GolfSpy_SHARK and 6 others 9 Quote Cobra Connect 5 Competitor - Team Chad King Radspeed 10.5* w/ Hzrdus RDX Blue 60 6.5 tipped 1/2" - Peacoat/Red King Radspeed Big Tour 3 Wood w/ Hzrdus RDX Blue 70 6.5 Tipped 1/2" King Radspeed Tour 5 Wood w/ Motore X F1 70 X Flex King Utility 4 21* w/ Tensei Pro White 100 X Flex King Tour MIM Copper Irons 5-G w/ AMT White X100 Onyx King MIM Black Wedges 55* & 60* w/ AMT White X100 Onyx Spider SR Pro V1x Left Dash Lefty

Anyone have insight between my normal gamers (DG X100) and the AMT white x100? Shouldn’t really be any difference in spin. It’s the same shaft profile. Only difference is the lower weights in the long irons and slightly lower weights in mid irons. Could be that you are striking it slightly lower on the iron face due to iron head/sole design and that is giving you some more spin MattF, sirchunksalot and txgolfjunkie

Popular Post Mtbryant01
I got out for another round this morning. Hot and extremely humid down here in Alabama. I didn’t play quite as well as I did yesterday, but I battled on the back 9 and finished just fine. 80 43/37 - 3 birdies, 1 triple (barf) and 3 3 putts on the front 9. I didn’t drive the ball as well today. Had a couple shots off the heel that spun out and landed in the rough. I’m still missing the big tour 3 wood and 5 wood. Would have loved to pull out the big tour 3 wood a couple times off the tee today. My hole of the day was definitely hole 18. I’m realllyyyy enjoying the 4 hybrid. I have been very pleased with it. I’m averaging around 225 yds with it, but pured this one on 18 (a little downwind). The timing delays stink, as do Joe’s concerns with his shafts, but it’s not like Cobra is sitting there saying “meh”. Their hands are tied in a lot of this I would think, based on my own experiences lately with order delays, product shortages, etc at work. Popular Post txgolfjunkie
The last piece of the puzzle arrived today... The gang is all here! The bag arrived and while I would like to post some professional photos, my oldest (three years old and acts every bit of it) couldn't grasp the concept of privacy and personal space so... Here's reality at my house as I try to snap some shots of the bag: 'Dad, I'll open the box...this is a gift for me.' After telling me this was his golf bag, this was his negotiation face with his mom over who gets to have the golf bag first. Gotta do a QC check on the bag legs. This insulated pouch is probably the biggest one I've seen. You could definitely fit a couple be...sodas in there. The base of the bag is key because this needs to fit well in the golf cart. Sure, there are a lot of features if I ever wanted to carry my bag, but as a resident of Houston, walking season is a few weeks in October/November and March/April...other than that, it's cart life. The bag is set and ready for the CCC5. These irons haven't lost their copper finish after four rounds of golf because I don't hit them on sandy range tee boxes. It's not that I avoid the range, it's just that I have zero time for pre-round/in-between round practice. I'm that guy rushing to check-in, hit a few putts, a few chips, a few swings of the swing trainer and off I go. Once the kids get older and I have more free time, I'll return to the practice life. I added an i500 3 iron utility setup to my bag of black irons & wedges earlier this year and it's been bugging me big time, but wondering if I am alone in my ocd-ness. Wonder if they are going to take that finish through to the utility/wedges...would be pretty cool to be able to rock a full set of copper beauties. sirchunksalot and txgolfjunkie 2 Quote Driver: TSi 3 10* w/ Graphite Design AD IZ 7X Fairway/Hybrid: TSi 2 15* & 18* w/ Graphite Design AD IZ 7X, AD IZ 95X Irons: P790 4i, P770 5-7i, P7MC 8-P, $ Taper 120 Wedges: SM7 52F/54 S, 58 M w/ Modus 125 Putter: California Hollywood 34" Circle H

I'm officially pumped to get this thing going! Oh hello there, the finishing on those irons is sick. In a perfect world, I would like the 4 utility to be either black or copper but the silver finish is matte so it doesn't cause any issues. I know Cobra's black finish a few years ago was a black diamond coat that really held up well. I don't think the wedges are that same type of black finish as it is showing wear pretty quickly. The copper finish does hold up pretty good as long as you're not beating balls on a sandy range. The few marks on the face are due to dirt on the ball at impact. The copper heads and black AMT shafts really look good out on the course. sirchunksalot and Mtbryant01 2 Quote Cobra Connect 5 Competitor - Team Chad King Radspeed 10.5* w/ Hzrdus RDX Blue 60 6.5 tipped 1/2" - Peacoat/Red King Radspeed Big Tour 3 Wood w/ Hzrdus RDX Blue 70 6.5 Tipped 1/2" King Radspeed Tour 5 Wood w/ Motore X F1 70 X Flex King Utility 4 21* w/ Tensei Pro White 100 X Flex King Tour MIM Copper Irons 5-G w/ AMT White X100 Onyx King MIM Black Wedges 55* & 60* w/ AMT White X100 Onyx Spider SR Pro V1x Left Dash Lefty
Popular Post null
The bags all here! Excited to get the challenge started soon. Love the stand mechanism on the bag. Will make it perfect for using with my clicgear. No dedicated putter spot, which is something I enjoy but will make do without. Seems a little light on the pockets relative to other bags in the same weight category txgolfjunkie, Mtbryant01, sirchunksalot and 12 others 9
