I just posed this question in a “post your handicap” thread. 
Which thread topic do you think is the most commonly repeated?? I don’t mean individuals seeking advice...

By far "Will this specific shaft help my swing? or a variation of which high end shaft is best for me?"

Agree with a lot of the above. There are also a lot of how to do X or Y from newer members (which isn't necessarily a bad thing) asking how do I get a badge is a common one.

I seem to recall a lot of regripping threads over the years as well. Of course some are different when it's a personal project, but the topic certainly does come up a fair amount.

Without thread topics, there is nothing to talk about. I don't get rattled by repeat topics. If I don't want to read them, I don't click on them. If a forum has any longevity, there are going to be many repeat topics, because, well.... there are only so many things to post about...lol. Yea, doing a search to find a topic is referable, but most will post a new one. 

Life is too short to get my undies  in a bunch over it.

If we are doing this in fun, then my answer would be based on the posts that occur within the threads.  I think posting in the what did you buy thread is just a clever way for @dlow206 and @Golfspy_CG2 to avoid making a new thread to tell us what clubs they bought an hour ago.

I still can't get over the picture he posted from his office that had about 8 boxes with various clubs and new sets.  Definitely jealous and a guy can dream.....

I agree 100%.  It doesn't bother me.  Most newbies don't know or don't think about searching for topics; it's easier to just post a new thread.  In some cases it is appropriate because equipment could have changed since the topic was discussed previously.  In many cases there are many new members that probably haven't seen the topic before.  It's easy to just ignore the thread if you want, or jump in and provide wise comments from your knowledge of threads past.

I haven't posted in the CHA thread for a little while, but that doesn't mean I haven't purchased anything recently

yes 100% in fun! I actually like seeing the repeats because it gives me an idea about what people are talking about!
 

Plus for new members I’m sure it’s hard to feel as though you can just jump into an already existing thread! Much easier to start one.

Just to add to the new member portion of this conversation. It can be quite daunting to go through pages and pages of content searching for a answer or something relative to the topic you are looking for and therefore easier to make a new one and get your answers there. 

I also appreciate new members making new topics and showing interest in being involved... although a lot of us know how easy this community is to get along with it can be a lot when new to jump in. I would love to see some more new member WITB w/ stories of what brought them here and their games and of course photos of courses they play as well as clubs. 

Maybe the best is now with the new signup system we have removed the post deadline "pick me pick me I want to win this with my 130 mph SS and 320 carry on average" haha... as much fun as they were sometimes to see I am glad it doesn't come up with the new system.
