Readers, which books are you picking up these days?

Several titles caught my eye today and I walked out of Barnes & Noble with these four. Ryan Holiday is a great storyteller in case you’re looking for something new.

This year I’ve read the courage to be disliked, kindness & wonder, thinking fast & slow and the righteous mind, why good people are divided by politics and religion.

So what about you guys, what are you picking up?

This was the last book I read. So good. It starts way back with Press, how he was raised, where, how that affected who he was, and, thus, how Pete was treated. Tough story. Pete was a troubled man... Really, really good.

I'm a huge reader, mostly fantasy or spy/military thriller.  Currently working through Daniel Silva (Gabriel Allon series), just finished the new Andy Weir book Project Hail Mary.  Before than I read the newest Jack Carr book and re-read Tom Clancy Without Remorse for like the 15th time.

Then there are a bunch of series I'm just patiently waiting for the next book to come out.

Oh man, that's a great read! Really puts a lot of the struggles he had later in his career into perspective with his upbringing, and comes around full circle on the redemption he was able to find in the later years of his life. My favorite story was probably when he kept hitting the shots at the carnival and just kept backing up🤣 Such a talented player!

Same!  Slowed down a bit with less travel.  One of my favorites has been the Mitch Rapp series.  I'll have to try some others you suggested.   I've heard good things about "The Gray Man" series as well but not tried it.

Just wrapped up the Stephen King Dark Tower series which is a Syfy series more than horror. Not sure what is coming next, need a quick break after the 7 books in that series.

I've read all the Mitch Rapp and Gray Man books, both are fantastic.  Also check out Brad Thor and Brad Taylor, both have great series with the same main character and are along the lines of Gray Man and Rapp

That was one of my favorites, the only bad part is only 3 books were out when I first read it, so had to wait around 15 years to finish the series.

I know I am lucky. It took him a long while to get to those last 3 books and he had the car accident in between which of course had many thinking he would die without finishing the series. I am glad he did as I enjoyed it very much.

I've heard a lot of good reviews about that book but have never read it yet. But it's the next one I'm going to read. I'm very interested in Greek culture and literature, and some time ago, we discussed it in my writing club, and I found so many interesting facts. And also, we had to read and write a small paper on one greek novel, play, etc., and I chose Antigone. It was a tragedy, and I loved it. I had a little difficulty writing, but on https://studydriver.com/antigone-essay/, I found and read a few Antigone essay examples, and they helped me understand everything better. And in a result, the paper was pretty interesting. So, if someone likes reading plays, I recommend that one.

I just finished Bone Rattle by Marc Cameron and I discovered it's a series, though not one that needs to be read in any particular order. Now I have to read the other books.
