Many thanks to all you guys!!  I think that makes me as old as @tony@CIC and @Rickp at least for a couple of months.  Old guys rule!!

My wife treated me to a round of golf at our sister course across the river in Pasco... we get 1/2 off by being members at our course.  Playing from the white tees is about 300 yards longer than the equivalent tees at our course.  Shower. Then off the dinner at a very vice restaurant on the Columbia River.

Thank yall!! It was indeed a good Birthday took off work played 2 rounds of golf! Shot an 81 in the morning my best round so far in 2021 and 86 in the afternoon I blame the second round on the alcohol lol!! So far 42 ain’t so bad!!

Belated thanks to all. I would have responded sooner but for the past couple of weeks every time I accessed the App it didn’t work. Of course, once I had time to investigate this I learned why. 
 

I’m still in the process of buying my birthday presents. Looks like I’m a Ping player now. As the saying goes, “Those that can’t swing, play Ping.” I’ve decided at 57 I can’t learn to play golf so I’m buying a golf game. G425Max Driver, 3w, 5w, 7w, 9w and i500 6-P. Tired of the low ball. 
 

The 3 wood is iffy. Hit it further off the tee, but the 5 wood is just 12 yards shorter off the tee and 5 longer average than the 3 wood off the deck. If I’m hitting FM off the tee, I’m probably more concerned with 12 yards longer than 12 yards shorter. “I hit 3 wood 257 yards and had a 3’ putt for eagle.” In 2007. The G425Max 3 wood is the best 3 wood I’ve ever hit, but for me, it does not out perform the 5 wood off the deck. 
 

I don’t know what I’ll use in that spot in the bag: perhaps an extra wedge, a bladed 7 or 8 iron or a 48” 12° SLDR or a 5 hybrid if the gap between the 6 iron and 9 wood is bigger on the course than the launch monitor. I’ll know more after this weekend.
