Hook DeLoft
Came across this article on line. I admire someone who can recognize bad behavior in himself and work to correct it.https://golf.com/news/jordan-spieth-most-embarrassing-caddie-greller/ 4 Quote 14 of the following: Ping G425 Max Callaway Epic Max 5 wood Cobra F9 Speedback 7/8 wood set at 23.5 degrees Callaway Epic Max 11 wood PXG 0311P Gen. 3 6-GW PXG 0211 5-GW PXG 0211 sand wedge bent to 53 degrees Maltby M Series+ 54 degree Ping Glide 3.0 Eye2 58 degree Ping Glide 3.0 60 degree Evnroll ER2 Ping Sigma 2 Anser

I know what you see and read about someone doesn’t necessarily reflect who they really are, but Spieth sure seems like a good person. sixcat
Spieth’s No Laying Up interview last week was something parents should play for their kids from now until eternity. His humbleness and willingness to shine a light on his own shortcomings is lost on most people in the social media/instant gratification age.
rmvanbuskirk
I worked at a restauarnt in a hotel a few years back. We had a PGA tour in town and a lot of the players ate in our restaurant. Jordan won the tournamanet and celebrated in the Private Dining Room, he was such a nice guy, treated all the servers well and even signed a few autographs. He has been one of my favorite players since. couldn't ask for a nicer guy. Rory on the other hand... I hope his next losing streak is twice as long as his previous one. 2 Quote Driver : XR 10.5° Irons: AP1 PW-4i Wedges: Vokey 56° & Vokey 60° Putter: White Hot OG #5 Putter Bag: Players 4 Stand Bag Ball: Kirkland Signature V2.
Shapotomous
That is a good response he had to his embarrassing moment. I don't expect these guys or anyone else to behave perfectly all the time they are only human. But I do look at the subsequent reaction and attitude toward making things right. 1 Quote Modern Bag: 849 Pro 9*, Accra Tour Z M5 Flex; 915F 3w, Diamana S+ 70 S flex; Snake Eyes 15*, & 23* Hybrids; JPX 900 Forged 5 - PW, PX LZ 6.0; Raw 50*, Nippon Tour 120 X; SM9 54* / 10* / S, Wedge Flex ; Tour Action 57*, PX LZ 6.5; Ancient Anser or Heppler Fetch (depends on the week); Ball - MTB-Black; Bag - H2NO Shot Scope H4, MG600 Rangefinder Classic Bag: Driver - Persimmon; 3w - Speed Slot; 5w - Tour Block; 3 - pw - Dynapower; sw - Ram Tom Watson; putter - bullseye standard or flange. Funny how these perceptions develop. I have a friend who insists he watched Tom Watson cheat in person in a tournament, improving his lie in the rough. And another friend who was a diehard Jeff Gordon fan, until he met him in person, couldn’t stand Jeff from then on. 1 Quote Titleist TSR2 11° HZRDUS Red CB 50 6.0 TSR w Lamkin UTx Midsize Titleist TSR2 16.5º HZRDUS Red 60 6.0 & TSR2 21º HZRDUS Black 4G 70 6.0 w Lamkin UTx Midsize Mizuno JPX900 Forged 4-GW, S18 56.10, S18 60.06 w MCC+4 Midsize Evnroll ER5B Fit@TrueSpec w P2 Touch Tour Maxfli Tour & ProV1 Ping Pioneer - MGI Zip Navigator AT Payntr X 002 LE, Ecco Biom C4, FJ DryJoys

Granted I don't know Rory in person, but my perception of him has turned 180. He was my most disliked player when he started on tour, cocky, etc... fast forward to now and I feel he has matured, more humble and down to earth. Never thought I would be rooting for him, but here I am. Hope someday I can start liking Spieth as well. 1 Quote SpeedZone 9* w/ Aldila Rogue Silver 60 S X2 Hot 3 Deep 14.5* w/ Aldila Tour Green 75 S JetSpeed 5W 19* w/ Matrix Velox T 69 S OR Super LS 3H 19* w/ Kuro Kage Black 80 S JPX919 Forged 4-PW w/ Modus3 105 S Vokey SM7 50/08F, 54/14F & 58/08M w/ Modus3 115 Wedge ER1 34" w/ SuperStroke Fatso 2.0 Pro / H2NO Lite Cart Bag / 3.0 / NX7 Pro LRF My reviews: MLA Putter // Titleist SM7 // PING i500 // PuttOUT

Again my interaction was brief but I always feel you can tell a lot about people by how they treat waitstaff, housekeepers, etc... I don't condone mistreating others, but I also believe people can change (for better or worse), deserve a 2nd chance perhaps. Hell, can you imagine being labeled as the next big superstar, 20 years old, taking Tiger head-on, with 100 million endorsement in your pocket? Not an excuse to be a douche, but somewhat makes more sense. Truthfully I do not wish anything bad on anyone. I can only imagine how it would feel being 20 years old with those expectations. I’m indifferent re: Rory, but he sure came across as humble/grateful in winning the Wells Fargo two weeks ago - though he probably has a PR coach among his posse. Maybe his early success went to his head, but he’s had some droughts in his wins now, so maybe his perspective has changed. Getting married and having a child can do that too. Just a casual observation, I don’t follow Rory. 1 Quote Titleist TSR2 11° HZRDUS Red CB 50 6.0 TSR w Lamkin UTx Midsize Titleist TSR2 16.5º HZRDUS Red 60 6.0 & TSR2 21º HZRDUS Black 4G 70 6.0 w Lamkin UTx Midsize Mizuno JPX900 Forged 4-GW, S18 56.10, S18 60.06 w MCC+4 Midsize Evnroll ER5B Fit@TrueSpec w P2 Touch Tour Maxfli Tour & ProV1 Ping Pioneer - MGI Zip Navigator AT Payntr X 002 LE, Ecco Biom C4, FJ DryJoys
