Golf2Much
Having been around 3D printing for over 20 years, I think this is an unique application of the technology. In the early days, one knock on 3D printing technologies was that they could make parts that were basically un-manufacturable in the real world. Prototypes easily made with 3D printing technology had to be redesigned for effective and efficient manufacturing. As you can imagine, it often lead to heated discussions between the design and manufacturing communities. Now that disadvantage has become an advantage. The advent of new materials and scaled up manufacturing capability yielded the perfect application for the printing technology. Complex shapes with effectively distributed weight and stiffness that could not easily be made by other means. Bravo Cobra! Tobbish
I have pre-ordered the armlock version of the Grandsport 35... time is not moving fast at the moment! Not sure if armlock is my thing to start with, but I believe in the theory and it's not like I'm a pro golfer and have much to lose. I might putt like rubbish for a while, but there's no guarantee I wouldn't have done so with my current putter either. I'm super excited about getting familiar with it! Actually the SIK face is supposed to help with that as there is more loft at the top of the putter so if you forward press you generally hit it higher on the putter face where there is that more loft to help get the ball rolling. So, I would be hitting the ball with a downward strike with the 1* portion of the face. Hannoncc
I have had mine only a few weeks and played 2 x rounds with it now. I have the grand sport 35. I cant tell if its just me or if the black is coming off on the bottom edges due to the velcro and the head cover. Ive not used it a lot but already it may be wearing, which for a 250£ plus putter isnt ideal. anybody else notice this with the black finish ? Tyler86
Putted with the Nova and the Agera for a few hours today. The agera putted a little better than the Nova for me, but its too big for the bag. I putted VERY well with both of them. The “sound” is strange but “feels” good which is weird. The roll for me was killer good. ALMOST bought a Nova, but picked up the SeeMore im gaming and it was still better for me, but not much. BombAndGouge
My brother recently picked up the Supernova. I got to putt a little with it and it is solid. I believe his was sitting at 34*. It felt like the head was heavy (which I like) but not too heavy like it was a pendulum. I felt like it stayed on line with a good stroke. Like it was on tracks almost. The Sik face seemed to work well and the putter was well liked from our group. I made an 8 foot birdie with it. Not going to replace my Wilson, but a good/interesting putter. Firebird
Bought a Stingray as my Christmas present and after 2 rounds boy am I impressed. It feels amazing and the single white line on the top makes alignment easy. Our greens are usually fast to very fast (11-14) and I have found distance control to be impressive. The SIK face appears to do what is is designed to, I know on several puts thin or think and it made little difference. I have always been a good putter but this putter has taken me to the next level. In the 2 rounds so far I have had 24 and 26 putts. I got fitted sort of. The sales consultant worked me through a process to determine which suited my stroke. Being almost straight back and through I was expecting to need a Face Balanced version but found The Toe Hang much more accurate. Just goes to show it is good to ask for advice. ejgaudette 1 Quote Callaway Epic Flash 9 Degree Callaway Epic Flash 3 wood 15 Degree Callaway Apex 21 Hybrid 19 Degree Callaway Steelhead Pro 4-AW Irons Cleveland 54 Degree Wedge Steel Shaft Recoil Graphite Shafts in all Callaway Cobra Vintage Series Stingray 40 Preferred ball - Seed
Firebird
I am shocked how much difference the Stingray has made to my putting. I have always been a very good putter but these have taken me to the next level. The other day I decided just for fun to test the difference between the Putter I was actually looking to buy the TM Spider X. I borrowed on from the pro shop to test it up against the Stingray. I played 18 holes alternating between putters on each hole. The TM Spider X felt nice and was easy to align but over 18 holes I had 5 extra putts and I have to admit that most of the more difficult put were on greens where it was the Stingrays turn. The biggest difference was the the distance control. Like most golfers I find constancy of strike my biggest issue but with the Stingray the Sik Face seems to mitigate this. I have Arrcos and based on the last 10 rounds I have averaged 5-7 less putts.
