That's intriguing as the i210 is that traditional cavity back and the i500 is that hollow body distance iron. Just add it to the list I want to try.

I thought it was interesting move too especially with how the i210 has become that iconic club in their lineup which they haven’t really had since i20s.

Not that I need any irons but I’m trying to hold off on grabbing anything til I see the 210 replacement

I’m getting fit for irons in September, 90% sure I’ll end up with one of the following combo sets:

TM P770(4-6) P7MC(7-Pw)

Mizuno Mp20 HMB(4-6) MMC(7-Pw)

Ping I-blade (4-7) blueprint (8-Pw)

Srixon Zx7 (4-7) Z forged (8-Pw)

Do you wait another couple months for the MP 22 though?

Exactly my dilemma: should I wait for new offerings from Mizuno and Ping? I bought my G410 LST at the end of its cycle, and I was a little bitter about it until I hit the 425 and realized it wasn’t better than my 410.  So I’m not sure if I’d have sour grapes about buying the “late” model Mizuno or Ping.

Although I really like my i210 irons and they are still good irons, with @SuperSpeed Golf training and feeling a different shaft could be beneficial for me. Rather then paying to reshaft my irons I think I will wait to see what is coming soon from Mizuno, Ping and Titleist among others and look at updating my bag.

I am very intrigued by the i59 and what will end up being the newer i210's. Ever since my Ping iE1 irons I have really got along with their sets and don't think it would be a difficult transition. I do also love the P770... there simply may just be too many good options! In the end it will come down to what shaft feels best and then find a suitable head.

That's my same thought.  I still like my irons, but have tried some other shafts that just feel better to me overall.  Make my swing feel more repeatable if that makes sense.  Maybe it's all in my head.

Isn't that what so much of golf is? In our heads... Somewhat like seeing head shapes that visually please us when we actually swing we don't see it hit the Ball other then a blur, however a shape that is boxy or big throws me off!

Need to find some photos of the new mizunos somewhere.

See many good looking clubs in this category, offering players decent choices.

The issue I see, is club availability.

Expect some wait time for custom orders.

I'm curious if where you are hearing this rumor or if others might be hearing it also? I'm about to order some i210s but would be very disappointed if they come out with a replacement in another 5-6 months.

Ping will be coming out with their new irons likely at the end of August or so. The i210 are nearly 3 years old now so I would expect for one the irons that comes out to be a replacement for them. That being said they are still a great iron and play very well... if you will be disappointed with a new iron replacing it I would 100% hold off to avoid that feeling even though they are a stellar club.

They are rumored to be announced in July. They are an i210 but also an i500 replacement

I just bought a ZX5/ZX7 Combo set.  Thought about waiting for the new T100s, but too impatient.  I found something I really like and I'll go with it until I find something I like better, whether it's in in 6 months or 6 years!

I am playing a combo of them right now.  6,7 in the ZX5 and 8-P in the ZX7, the 7's are probably the best feeling irons I have hit in a very long time, right up there with the V6 from a few years ago and the T100S! I am so confident with them, I looked at going ahead and ordering the 6 and 7 as well, but they are out of stock and no estimate on when they will be back in.

I am I would say intrigued to try a players iron. I currently game the 790s but at the least I want to go swing some just to see if anything could work for me. Not that they are better for me but strictly intrigued by them to see if it’s something I could utilize on course. Don’t think I’m a consistent enough iron striker at this time but I will be following to see what works for you

Feeling similar with my i500s. Am I good enough for a true cavity back probably not but does not stop me from dreaming.

Been gaming my Titleist AP3 irons since spring of 2018.  Have liked them but have about 500 rounds on them and they are a bit dinged up.  Been experimenting with a set of Corey Paul cavity back irons picked up off Ebay for cheap and have really liked the looks and feel.  They are traditionally lofted compared to the stronger lofted AP3s 3 degrees weaker per club.  They also have slightly stiffer and heavier shafts in them which reduces my hook miss.  Will be making a decision soon.
