Revs Bag 2021

For some Memorial Day weekend marks the start of their golf season. In Florida we play year round but for me there are 2 distinct seasons - May (June this year) to October is competitive golf season and November to April fun or experimental. 
 

Due to COVID that experimental time lasted far longer but now it’s time to play competitively again! 
 

So here’s my bag for that part of the year:

 

 

 

The clubs and their specs are in my signature. As always plenty of head covers.  Still no hybrids. I tried to fit one in but none tried were able to displace the fairway wood arsenal.

 

Sim2 driver is a huge surprise. I’ve been in Ping Gs since the G30.  According to Tru Fit I should be in the G425.  But that Sim2 blew everything away when I went for a fitting including the G410, 410 LST and 425 so here it is in my bag coming in a trade for the 410 LST and $300. I would still love to give the 425 another look though.  I didn’t get the chance to try it open like the Sim2 was fit for.
 

Three wood is pretty much for show although I will hit it from the tee on occasion, if I’m into the wind and need less than 210 because of a Hazzard of some sort. 

 

Edison wedges have replaced the SCORs. I wish I had not ordered the 53 best to 54. It’s my primary chipping club and it often checks too quickly.  I’m getting used to it though and have gotten very good at a bump and run with any of the D7 forged clubs. Stock one is with 9 iron.

 

The Founders Club bag is new. I either ride or use a push cart. It’s specifically designed for that purpose. It has way more pockets than my old bag and I’m still getting used to where I’m keeping stuff.  But overall it is quite functional for my needs.

Love the set up Rev! Didn’t think anything was going to be kicking the Ping driver so quickly. Sim2 must be special.

Nice bag!!   I too am surprised the LST left so quickly!  That is a club I'd like to try....probably an experiment for next winter.

I love the bit in your signature, “Tour Exotics 3 wood because we are allowed 14 clubs in the bag. It’s a great club for pulling balls out of the water or bushes.” I can’t wait to see that hit their marketing material. Maybe MGS can include it in their next ball retriever review.
