I’ve done wedge fittings in the past, and there’s no doubt this is another level! I'm excited as well. I am hoping i get the same good front to back dispersion that i was seeing. My 50 degree wedge shots at the fitting were all going about 100 yards. With my current wedges, I feel like there is too much distance variability between shots, even on what i believe to be good strikes. 3 Quote Follow my golf journey to break into the 80s Tester for the Titleist TSi Driver Spring 2020 MGS Tester for the Fujikura Motore X Shaft Updated 11/13/2021 Driver: TSi 2 - Autoflex Fairway Woods: TSi2 3 wood, 5 wood - Aldila Ascent 60 S Irons: T300 5 to SW - LAGP AXS Red 85 Stiff double soft stepped Wedges: K-grind 2.0 58 wedge - Xcaliber RT Spin Wedge 100 Putter: SIK DW Armlock - LAGP 180 armlock shaft
stephen moss 2
I have been playing with a used Edel e-3 putter for the last 3 year off and on but life happens to be taking me to Austin on Tuesday so I made an appointment for a wedge and putter fitting at the Edel HQ. Reading your post has me so excitied since I rely on my short game to score. I will try to send an update after my fitting. 2 Quote Edel EAS 1.0 Edel 50 and

I was at the HQ in Liberty Hill about 5 years ago and was able to meet David Edel and the whole gang! Great people, great products, ridiculous fittings! You’ll have a blast! Kanoito 3,095
Sounds pretty sweet and would definitely like to give it a try. But can't seem to find any fitters outside the US. I remember seeing a fitter in Germany for Edel putters a few years back, but can't find it anymore. 2 Quote SpeedZone 9* w/ Aldila Rogue Silver 60 S X2 Hot 3 Deep 14.5* w/ Aldila Tour Green 75 S JetSpeed 5W 19* w/ Matrix Velox T 69 S OR Super LS 3H 19* w/ Kuro Kage Black 80 S JPX919 Forged 4-PW w/ Modus3 105 S Vokey SM7 50/08F, 54/14F & 58/08M w/ Modus3 115 Wedge ER1 34" w/ SuperStroke Fatso 2.0 Pro / H2NO Lite Cart Bag / 3.0 / NX7 Pro LRF My reviews: MLA Putter // Titleist SM7 // PING i500 // PuttOUT
fozcycle 15,386
Great write up PM. As always your reviews are detailed and on point. I think wedge fitting will be the next big thing in players bags. I never knew it gave all of the path and impact depth info until this fitting because I’ve only ever done driver and iron fittings with it, and no one ever pulled-up that info when fitting for irons. It’s pretty cool to know it’s there! The bounce change effects were immediately seen using that part of the program. Really neat to see how depth of divot, path, spin, etc were all changing. M. Parsons 1,287
@PMookie & @dlow206 I've been looking at the Edel website quite a bit the past few days, and I know that their irons are single length, so I was wondering if that plays into the wedges as well? PMookie 17,329
I was in Jackson, MS, today and went by the store so we could call Edel and finalize the order. All that needed ironing out were the shafts. Edel is going to come-through for me and get me the Nippon Modus 130 Stiff shafts. They’re going to be soft-stepped, but I can’t remember if they’re doing it just once or twice…. BostonSal 565
I REALLY like the look of the new Edel wedges, PARTICULARLY the C grind. A 48-54-60 set, 1º flat, 6º up from my 9-iron, with shafts and grips to match my irons, would probably be right down my alley, but I don't know where I could try them. I've been burned too often ordering stuff on faith that it would suit me.
