While his statement is funny and How DJ responds is also numerous, there is a lot that can be learned from it.  We don’t have a lot of control over where the ball actually goes and you just have to play what you end up with; almost not care.

yeah, they're professionals, but they don't have this magic power over a golf ball. 

Hit the shot, go find it, hit the next shot.... it's a pretty simple game that a lot of people like to make really really complex.

Having sat in hundreds of press conferences over the years, you are 100% correct.   The thing is a lot of times, they think they are being smart by trying to come up with an unusual or different type question.  But it just backfires and sounds dumb.

You have take your cap off to DJ. After 3 putting on the final green at the US Open at Chambers Bay to lose to Speith, you would think he would be scarred for life.

It was a brutal choke, but his career has been basically on fire since then. Well it was pretty good in non majors before then, but now he also has a green jacket, etc.  I think having Wayne Gretzky as a mentor can’t hurt. 

His attitude and unwillingness to dwell on bad outcomes has really made him a mentally tough golfer. I think it’s under rated.

This cracked me up, but there is so much truth in it.  Just play what you play off the tee and don't try to get cute with your tee shots (or any shot for that matter).
