If they are anything like the current T100's they will be a pussycat to hit. Scary to look at and nowhere near, say, T300 easy to hit, but not difficult at all. They are wonderful irons and definitely worth trying out - don't be intimidated by the looks 🙂

totally agree. My T100-S irons are a breeze to hit. shockingly so

So what is the news on the T300 line. I almost purchased them in late 2019 but delayed the decision. Then COVID hit. I knew 2021 was the year for an update. They do it every two years. I guess they will have news on the T300 series later.

These look really nice. More like the old AP2s that were all time classics.

I agree that the new T-200 looks just as nice as the T-100s, if not better.  Still like the T-100s which I almost ordered this Spring.

My key question will be whether T-200 lofts will be weaker than the 2020/2021 model which is strong lofted.

IF they are more similar in loft to a T-100 it will allow for a combo set like some other competitors.  It will be interesting to see what happens on this front.  Not sure I want the same iron number on one club to overlap to get a combo set.

Either way, I really would like to order the new T-100s since they would replace my AP2 which I still love, but are a bit worn out.  Will have to compare side by side the T-100 to the new Mizuno's when they come out.

I like the look of the new T-series irons. I've really like the AP line of irons for years and Titleist has done well not to mess up what works. The only bothersome thing I see is lots of people are talking about "tech" without anyone actually knowing what that means. This isn't exclusive to golf but that term is used in every product where marketing departments have succeeded. It usually just means that lots of people are blindly believing that there is some form "magical" technology that will make them perform better.

The reality is with irons, including the new Titleist irons, is that not much will have changed in terms of actually improving performance. The metals are not significantly different and haven't really changed for years if not decades. If you really look at iron design, the principles are the same as they were 30 years ago. The principles behind CG and MOI are still the same. Tungsten is still the most dense metal that golf manufacturers can use to impact club design, this hasn't changed in a long time. Additionally, the rules of golf limiting certain things like CT and grooves have not changed. So, while the new T-series irons look great, they aren't going to perform in a dramatically better way. There isn't any magical "tech" that will make them go significantly longer and straighter.

I'm not trying to be a debbie downer because I really like the new irons. However, I just find it amazing that there aren't more people actually want to know more about the actual design of the clubs, especially given the number of people that care about golf equipment. I sometimes feel alone on an island by having just done some minimal research into club head design and having some level of understanding of the limits club designers have to work within. Using steel and tungsten there is only so much manufacturers can do to make clubs better for any given clubhead size.

You’re right, of course. But where’s the fun in that?  For golf nerds like me, there is nothing more fun than looking at a new design. I only really expect advances in the SGI category and those are rarely game changers. Having said that, even a slight change in sole design, weight placement or offset can make a big difference for an INDIVIDUAL player while still not being a noticeable change for most players.

Those T200s look clean. If combo'ing them with the 100 is an option, they'll be even better I think.

Can't wait to hear more on this one. I am particularly interested to see if the T100S is more forgiving than the T100 as a result of the "muscle channel" in the cavity that apparently helps with ball speed.

My initial thinking (will get a fitting first!) was a T200 4-5 (the 5 being 1* weak at 26*) and then T100 6-W so I could keep similar lofts to my current set while adding forgiveness compared to my current CBs, but if the T100S are actually more forgiving and don't sacrifice much in the feel department it would open up more options to over analyze think about.

The full information has been released today, and here’s MGS article about the new T-100, T-100S, T-200, and T-300.

I would LOVE to try the T200 vs my Honma TR20 Tour P. Both are geared toward the same player. Now if I can just find a Titleist demo day in the surrounding 400 miles!!!! Sheesh!

Interesting release as I dig into the lofts (yes loft is just one aspect and face and overall design plays a role too) of the 100-s and 200 and how a setup of those two along with the u200 utility builds as well as comparing to other irons on the market in similar categories and also what I have in the bag.

From a price standpoint not surprised to see an increase but nice to see some of the aftermarket shafts not be a huge price tag. Might also be along the cheaper of releases that are still to come from others
