Stephen Lee
i had issues with this. I emailed them and they sent me new ones pretty quickly. I can hear the noise they make when they're working so it's easy for me to tell when they're not. Not sure if anyone else hears the faint screeching noise as well. Doesnt bother me but its a good indicator of if they're working or not Quote Driver: Titleist TS3 3 Wood: Taylormade M3 5 Wood: Titleist 917 F2 3 Iron: Callaway X Forged Utility Iron 4i-Pw: Honma TW747v 49/54/60 Wedges: Titleist SM7 Putter: Odyssey Stroke Lab V-Line Ball: Bridgestone B X

When I have that situation I know it will not detect and am prepared to add a shot immediately. If memory serves, you can set it to pulse/let you know that it recorded a shot. Good luck with it. I haven’t used it since I got the Link. Curious if they made improvements. I have the Apple Watch 6 and played yesterday and it worked great- maybe beginner’s luck. I really liked the ACCROS- good information- can’t wait to get some more rounds with it to get a larger sample size. It looks like it will be really useful in identifying gaps in my irons. So far, the distance on my 50 degree wedge and the 53 were very similar- might have to get the lofts checked. Like I said, should be interesting once I get a larger sample size. DukeStKing
Two rounds into my free trial and my impressions so far: 1. the Apple Watch is great at registering shots and as a GPS watch. 2. The data on club distance will be really valuable once I get a larger sample size. 3. the Caddie suggestions are not always good (again, small sample size) - it suggested too much club and too little. At this point, the sample size is too small. 4. my Garmin G80 does a better job at yardages with elevation changes than ACCROS. 5. the post round analysis is really good- I realized I have a much better short game than I thought. (And my Driver game is as bad as I thought). If you have a limited number of shots with a club, it's going to include everything into the sample. I've solved this for long irons by playing a quick nine and teeing off with them. I realize that if you're paying greens fees, that's not a great solution. I wish they'd give you a way to generate data other than just playing. But once you play enough, their outlier detection works pretty well. I used to be a huge fan of Arccos, but it's become somewhat problematic for me lately. Arccos works horribly with my phone (Moto G7) I have a Link, but it's yet another device to leave at home (which I do) or forget to charge (which I do) When I do remember my Link and remember to charge it, it frequently loses contact with my phone If I'm playing with other people, I don't want to mess with my phone I used to have good luck with Arccos using both a really cheap Android phone (Samsung J7) and an old iPhone. So I'm pretty sure that the problem is my phone and not Arccos itself. I'll dig out the old iPhone and see if it works better, but then that's another device I need to remember to bring with me. Is anyone using Arccos with a recent Android phone and having good results (I need a new phone and I'm not an iPhone fan)? Even if a new phone works better with Link, I'd like to have my phone as a fallback for the times I forget to bring/charge my Link. I'm willing to buy a phone based on its success with Arccos as long as it's not ridiculously expensive. My wife uses Link (and iPhone) but she still has to do a fair amount of editing even with a new phone. Based on the ARRCOS misses I decided to go with shotscope. Cheaper in the long run not counting having to buy Link, or a new phone or apple watch. MaxEntropy
My Arccos freaked out this week. On Thursday, it started by not tracking a single shot for the first two holes. On the 3rd tee I rebooted my phone, restarted the app, resumed round, and everything was fine. On Friday, almost everything tracked fine but exactly zero of my 58* wedges were detected. Given that I've had these for almost 2 years, am I approaching the useful life of the sensors or is my phone or the app freaking out? Any ideas? Ezmoney5150
I have been moving the Link around to see where it is picking up the sensors the best. I had it clipped on the outside of my left pocket for a while then yesterday I clipped it to the front of my shirt where the buttons are and am still missing about 20 strokes. I was thinking about hooking it to the shoe laces of my shoes. I'm getting tired of editing after. I can deal with chips and putts, but missing a well struck iron is an issue. I've only been using it a month so I can't believe the sensors are the issue. Any Ideas? skraeling
Ive used it for a couple years at this point. The arccos link, f****** sucks. The only good thing about it was the one button pin location marking. It missed so many shots I returned mine. Phone in pocket for me has worked quite well. Rarely misses shots (putts/tap ins excluded). Its provided some quite useful data for me. Will I keep using it, im honestly not sure. It seems overly expensive for what it is and with the sensors being an essentially consumable item, I find that rather annoying. As is, its good though. Not sure its good enough to continue using however. When I got my new iron set it did help me learn my ranges to a T. So it did lower my scores by quite a bit.
