First Golf Shoes in 11 Years

Last weekend I played golf in a new pair of shoes for the first time in 11 years. My wife got me the Footjoy Contour series spiked per my request. I don't like spending more than $40 for a pair of sneakers, let alone golf shoes, so this was a stretch for me at $129. I will say I was very happy with the comfort as I walked the fairways. I actually carried my old shoes in my bag in case my feet hurt. I'm still traumatized from playing in a two day tournament in college where I had bought new shoes and never broke them in. By the end of the weekend, no amount of Band Aids could add padding and stop the bleeding on my heels.

I this case, no red in my shoe. I know they'll take a few more miles to totally get broken in, but I personally feel they will be worth the money until I get another pair in 2032.

When my wife asked if I wanted to leave Maine and move to where she grew up, I couldn't say no to Pinehurst, NC. I honestly don't spend much money on golf equipment, but I'm constantly reading reviews in case I ever get ready to buy

I swing left handed and have been the State of Maine Left Hander's champion since 1997, the last year they held the tournament. I'm currently a 7.1 handicap. Trying to get lower, but my gut gets in the way.
