WiTerp50
There are some deals. But the only higher launching shaft for slower swingers are $100 upgrade. Same price range as the other Big 5 OEM’s with more no up charge shafts. For the same price I’d have to travel 80-120 miles for a fitting of only 1 brand to compare results. Donn lost in San Diego
They offer a driver for us slugs. The 2021 0211. For $225, with a decent range of shafts, and of course some $100 or $300 ups. But if you are a slug like me, swing speed mid 80s, maybe reaching 250 yards, on a few out of 10 swings, you pick and pay, or don't pay higher for A flex. The fitter here said not to consider buying the high end drivers, not built for me. They handle high speed mishits better. If you are not high speed, the benefit is wasted. So I am likely going to buy a 0211 with either the 40 or 50 gram Project X evenflo riptide in A flex. The 40 gram had a feel to the swing that was hard to describe, but it felt I was in control every inch of the swing. Sale Ends in 2 days. June 30. keveng
I took advantage at the top of the bag. Went to replace 3&4 hybrid figured to get a 7wood and 4 hybrid. Ended up with an 0211 3&4 hybrid with riptide shafts (non-cb). Great fitting, was for top of bag fit so he checked my driver first (PXG 0811 XR Aldila NV 65S cut down to 45”). After he fixed my season long open lead shoulder and tried a few setting tweaks he put it back where it was and I was consistently 10yds past trackman “optimized” distance for my swing, nice to see. NV was first shaft tried in woods and hybrids and was good for 3, bad for 7 and hybrids. I told him I was looking for carries of 215-220 and 200-205 both with some spin to stop as these will be for approach shots not tee. After 30 minutes of woods and hybrids. Final 3 hybrid numbers (5shot average) 217 carry 4650 spin. Final 4 hybrid numbers (5shot average again) 202 carry 5100 spin. Yeah, very happy with those results. Upgraded to CP2 wrap as the standard grip was spinning in my hands as it was 82 and 90% humidity. Final bill with shipping/taxes/fitting/grip up charge-$475. Got permission for a $600 budget so extra $125 for golf. I highly recommend for anyone looking at woods or hybrids. They have another sale going but not as good. fixyurdivot 1 Quote PXG gen2X, 10.5, Adila NV nxt 65s Tour Edge CBX 3t 16.5, HZDUS Yellow 6.0S 3&4 hybrid Cobra AmpCell S shaft 5-PW Callaway Mavrik Pro, Project X LZ 105 6.0 GW&SW Cobra AmpCell TT Dynalite 90 S 60 Bettinardi forged, TT Gold S200 Srixon ZStar

Hook DeLoft
Couldn't help myself. I ordered some Gen 3 0311P irons a couple of days before the sale ended. $149 for forged irons with MMT shafts is a bargain. Most of the big OEMs are charging $185 to $200 a stick for their forged irons. I can't honestly say I need them but I did sell some other clubs to offset the cost. I have a set of the original 0211 irons and I will be surprised if the 0311s have better performance but maybe I'll get a little better feel. And I went with a different shaft this time, so we'll see. fixyurdivot 1 Quote 14 of the following: Ping G430 Max Callaway Epic Max 3 wood Callaway Epic Max 5 wood Cobra F9 Speedback 7/8 wood set at 23.5 degrees Callaway Epic Max 11 wood PXG 0211ST 6-GW Cobra LTx 5-GW (never hit the 5) Hogan sand wedge 56 degree bent to 54 Maltby M Series+ 54 degree Ping Glide 3.0 Eye2 58 degree Ping Glide 3.0 60 degree Evnroll ER2 Ping Sigma 2 Anser
CarlH
PXG rep will be at our club tomorrow and I've set up an appointment with him. CarlH
Well, spent 45 minutes with the PXG rep, hitting drivers, fairway woods, and hybrids. I didn't care for the hybrids, at all and hit the fairway wood (5&7) much better than the hybrid. After testing with various heads, weights, and shafts, we narrowed it down to what worked best for me -- but, end result was that I wasn't blown away by improvement over my Ping 400Max. Even with the substantial discount with the Heroes pricing, I couldn't justify a purchase. I'll keep the Ping in my bag until I find something better, which may or may not happen.
