Nelly is on Fire but in a tie with Salas who has only had one win since her rookie year in 2012. It's Nelly's to lose today. The rest of the pack is 5 strokes behind - so it'll be a fun Sunday in Atlanta today

Salas has been playing relatively good lately and her switch to a center shafted putter has helped her game.

While Nelly has been more consistent especially this year I don’t think it’s hers to lose. It’s going to be almost a match play type environment for both but they also have to be aware of the talent that’s behind them. 5 strokes isn’t a lot of these two are not paying on attention

Congrats to Nelly for her win today at -19 and Lizette Sales for her second place and best finish in a long time at -16. Both ladies stream rolled the rest of the field - 3rd place was -10!

Way to go Nelly!!

Glad to see Salas play well again.  It was 10 years ago when she came out of USC and Nancy Lopez was touting her as a rising star on the LPGA.  Maybe she is finally getting there.

Glad to see her play well and get the win.  They really need to replay the Keith Jackson call from a college football game when she wins a tourney!!!  (you have to be of a certain age to get the reference!)

I really enjoy watching LPGA coverage. Especially the Major Championships. For better players, If we're being honest with ourselves, what we are watching through this product more closely resembles our games much more-so than anything we may see from the men.

I wish the LPGA would more equitably address the glacial pace of play though. All weekend, Lizette Salas would wait for the green to clear before beginning her already painfully slow process. Several times, Nelly Korda was hitting the ball before Salas' ball had stopped moving. Nelly also purposefully laid up on 18 short of Salas so not to have to wait to play her approach into the 18th green. At one point in the middle of the final round, Salas took well over 2 minutes to putt from 4 feet. Maria Fassi should be sending that tape to LPGA HQ and the PGA of America.

I think there is also something to be said for the Beth Ann Nichols article calling attention to LPGA course set-ups versus that of the PGA Tour. The Womens US Open and PGA Championship were set-up much more in-line with what we see on the mens side. Scoring and impressive leaderboards featuring many of the top players in the world reflected that change in set-up. If this trend continues, I think we will see a decline in Korean dominance.

Nellie was amazing yesterday. Attacking the par 5's with her distance was just too much for Salas. That 4 shot swing on the back nine par 5 was epic, other than that hiccup on the par 3 after waiting on the tee it was a beautiful round to watch.
