In my brief experience, the SS tags are much better than Arccos or Game Golf and I have not had any issues so far. I use GP Tour Velvet grips with a rounded cap and had to glue both Arccos sensors and Game Golf tags to make sure they would stay put. I haven't even seen any signs of a SS tag backing out yet and my grips are all chewed up after having to use a knife to remove the GG tags. Needless to say, I think you'll be fine.

As for a gap/lip around the tag, there isn't really anything you can do about that and I've seen it with the other two systems mentioned above. It does tend to be less of an issue with Arccos, but it's not always perfect depending on the grip.

The new stats are GREAT! Just what I have been asking for. Answers my earlier comment about 'strokes gained' only being available on the phone.

For my tee shots I can hover over any shot and get the details:

LOTS of other stats that need further investigation - and explanation! Not had a chance to go through them in depth but some are, at this stage, a bit of a mystery. Overall it is clearly a big jump in the analytics and well worth while. Big thumbs-up from me.

The only time the tags move for me is if I hit a thin shot. They back out a bit and it's only ever on thin shots.

Good Afternoon All - 

I knew that MyGolfSpy would help me.  I am looking at the different sensors out there and was about to pony up and get the Arccos sensors based on all that I had read about them.  Then I stumbled into a Shot Scope link while reading through other threads and then I get an email causing me to question my decision on the Arccos. Now I found this thread and have only started to read the info packed into this from all of you fellow spies.  I hope my enthusiasm is as great as what I have seen so far on this thread once I am locked and loaded for par with the Shot Scope.

Welcome to MGS.

My wife and I both  started out with ARRCOS - I even bought her the Link as well. Too many missed shots  and having a phone in the pocket was too inconvenient. Both of us now have V3's and not looking back.

Nope - I hit plenty of thin shots and they're all recorded . An advantages of Shotscope; you can see the club selected on the watch before you hit the club and obviously immediately after you hit it and before you select the next club.

Nice! Played with a good buddy last week and, try as I might, he just insists on wasting time trying to get his Arccos set up and started and recording and ... and figuring out how to read out the distances .. .. in the meantime I've tee'ed off and am ready to hit my second

But seriously I've shown him my ShotScope, explained to him (tried to explain) how simple it is to use - he even can see me on-course *NOT* futzing around with it .. at all .. but he's insistent that he wants the Arccos system.....

Ask him when is annual subscription is due. That way you can remind him every year how much  he really likes it

The default is 'Tour Player' which in my case would create more frustration with my stats then I already have. I choose to use a 15 HCP which is better than my index by about 4. If I ever get to 15 then I'd choose a lower #.

Is there a guide for all the dashboard updates. For instance in the example below - what does the 47% represent? And the +24?

I need to better understand the data.

But Tony, what I believe that pic you attached is saying... is that you hit 71% of fairways and the average for a 15 handicapper is 47%, so you are better than average by 24%.

I'm new around here, so I am late to the discussion. I am starting my 2nd season with my V3 and could not be happier. Since I changed the putting to manual mode, I rarely even have to edit shots anymore.

I'm still getting used to navigating the app and honestly haven't given too much consideration to the data since I've only played 2 rounds with the H4 so far. I agree with @Tiftaaft though on what you're seeing in the numbers. If you play around with the benchmark - moving between various handicaps - you can see how it changes.

As far as what I compare to, I bounce back and forth between 5 handicap and scratch. I'm currently a 10 with plenty of potential to get to scratch, but since I gotta get to a 5 first that's my primary target right now.

Well I did it.  I pulled the trigger last night on Shot Scope V3 Black w/ 16 trackers.  Can't wait until it arrives.  Thanks again to EVERYONE that has posted here both positive and negative.  I was able to get a lot of insight into the different tracker systems and GPS devices on MGS and was ultimately swayed by the users in this group.  Looking forward to my first round with the system to see how it goes.

I also made use of the forum info on the tracker devices and pulled the trigger on an H4 a few days ago.  Based on shipment tracking I think it will be delivered today and I can try it out in league play tonight.  Thank you to those who shared their experience and info on this and the other threads.
