I thought this board would like to know about issues with the Shotscope but I guess you believe there should only be positive reviews.  Do you sell Shotscope or have any other financial interest in them?  Seems like you have much more of an interest in this product than a mere user.  Don't you think you should disclose your conflicts of interest.  

Now you're just being a ********. I just haven't had any problems with mine at all and the first post I see from you in this thread is pissing and moaning about yours. I'm just a consumer and if you'd pull your head out of your arse, you'd know that.

We would, but you'd have to begin by describing in at least some detail what the issues are. Also, 2 units doesn't qualify as a major quality concern for almost any manufacturer outside of the space, medical, and defense industries. I doubt it would even be enough to qualify as a major concern amongst the number of users/units within this group. As @cnosilstated, your most recent post is the only one which contains any useful information. If you haven't yet contacted Shot Scope directly, I will second the suggestion to do so. However, if you don't have the unit in your possession, it may be difficult for them to assist you.

tony@CIC, my previous V3 was experiencing a problem where, on a couple of courses I had played multiple times before, could not find them. I kept getting the error that a course could not be found within 1KM.  The first time it happened I emailed customer service and they did something on their end, and asked me to logout of the phone app, log back in and do an update. That seemed to have worked for that course.  The next week, I played another local course which I have played many times, I got the same error message.  I again emailed customer service, admittedly this time the tone of my email was less forgiving.  I received an email back saying this was a known issue and they sent a replacement.  I have had my V3 and sensors since July as a gift, and this was the first problem I have experienced that was not self inflected  LOL.

cnosil, yes, I am replacing a V3 with a V3.  And yes, it was very simple.  Sadly, because of the holiday and the temperature around here, it may be a while before I can take it to the course.

Is is okay to leave the power clip attached to the G3 or V3 when it reaches 100%.  Like my V2, I notice the G3 loses a little charge while idle and off the charge clip.

Probably will respond like any other battery that is on constant charge...it will degrade the battery life.

My concern as well though they might have firmware that controls overcharge. I just submitted the question to Shotscope via the user website.  I'll post their response.

I usually charge mine overnight then have it turned off until I get to the course. 2+ years and the battery is still going strong.

Agree.  They were great on my prior inquiry about my V2 getting water inside and did extend the upgrade offer.  While I don't intend to routinely connect it and forget it, it's nice to know that it doesn't ruin the battery.

Thus far, my G3 has worked well and seems to agree with most scopes co-players are using.  It's way less bulky and the color screen and larger font is easier to see.

Since I generally only play golf on Sunday, I have a weekly reminder set on my calendar to remind me to charge the device since I don’t have a place I can just leave it charging 24x7

I always charge mine immediately after 18. The morning of my next round, I turn it while I'm having coffee on to double check my charge. If it's within 1-2 days I don't see any discharge. If it's a week, I do see a slight discharge so a quick top off and it's good to go.

I recharge my V3 right after I upload the round to my iPad. Generally it takes about 45 minutes to get a full charge, then it’s back in my pouch and in my bag ready for another round.

Just a heads up in the event anyone else comes across this. I have a minor issue that just cropped up where the app doesn't render some text properly after an Android 13 firmware update. I have a newer Samsung phone that just got the update (including their One UI 5 update), and I noticed that some text on the home screen was cutoff. Everything seems to work correctly; it just doesn't show up correctly. I contacted support and they suggested I try uninstalling/re-installing the app but that didn't help. They've moved the issue up the ladder for resolution via an app update once the issue is figured out. I'll report back when it's resolved.

I actually had my V3 sitting dormant in a drawer for over a year (shoulder injury cost me a season). Quite surprised to plug it in & see 76% charge still available
