CustomER for Life - Evnroll Custom ER1v

As many of you know I am a huge Envroll putter fan. My ER2 has been customized and in the bag for years. Only recently did I move away from it as I have changed my putting posture and the ER2 at 34” just became too short for me and because the head was already a heavy 370g, extending the putter to 35” was out of the question. 
 

When Evnroll announced they had a custom putter program on the way, I knew that I’d be buying a new Evnroll through that program. Months went by since the announcement and nothing came to fruition. I sent Envroll social media messages right after Memorial Day inquiring about the CustomER program, but received no responses. I figured that the pandemic had delayed the program indefinitely so I went and tried a bunch of ERv models and bought an ER1v. Less than a week later they announced the official beginning of the program. I was bummed. I responded to their Instagram post that said I wanted a custom putter but unfortunately just bought an ER1v because I wasn’t getting any information about the program coming soon.

Three days later, Evnroll messaged me on Instagram and asked me to email their customer support so they could see what they could do. After a few emails explaining my situation, Alan from Envroll proposed that I ship my putter to them and they would make me a custom putter and only charge me the cost of the custom options and return shipping. I was floored! I immediately got on the site and designed my putter.

ER1v with no siteline and custom painfill!  Alan even worked to expedite the build and my new putter was shipped to me in less than two weeks of them receiving the one I sent in!

Just an amazing customer service experience from a great company and I now have a putter that will stay in the bag for a loooooong time. The putter rolls beautifully and the no site line really fits my eye and aim style.

Excellent jlukes…….I have an ER6R and an ER2.  Every time I talk with the customer service, they have been very responsive.  The best.

I wanted to add that I would love to see the following options added to the customization:

Stamping - would have been great to have had my initials stamped on the toe of the face.

More options for length - currently only options are full inch increments.  Would be great to see half and even 1/4 inch playing lengths

More aftermarket grip options - current grip options are limited to the 3 stock Evnroll grips (pistol, gravity grip, and tour tack)

I've also had great interaction with their customer support.  I sent my ER2B in to them during the pandemic to adjust it to my specs (shorter and flatter) than when I received it.  After they got it they offered to swap it out because it was the lighter head and the length change would be better with the heavier head.  

Couldn't be happier with the team over at EVNROLL.

Oh my I like the no alignment on top!!! Thanks now I want one and I just got my ER1 where I like it and where I’m putting well with it

Earlier this year when I saw that no alignment aid was going to be an option I knew I'd be getting one!

More I see these more I want one. How do you like the no alignment aid? Do you see it help put more focus on the ball rather than an aid?

Absolutely love no alignment aid.  I had the aid on my ER2 blacked out so it blended in more to the refinished head.  I have no alignment aid on my older Scotty Newport.  

Alignment aids, specifically flange lines, make me aim left and also cause me to watch the putter go back rather than keeping my focus on the ball

This is along the "lines" I was thinking and hoping you would respond. I do the same thing and I tend to follow through with my eyes to....'s are turning.....

Wow, love the blank look! I always say I am never going to change my putter if I can help it, but that makes it pretty tempting to sign up for the Fujikura & Evnroll test...

That looks phenomenal! You did a great job picking out the customization options and I'm happy to hear you love it. That's great customer service and just raises the high amount of respect I have for Evnroll.

I am in the minority. I like an alignment aid.  Whether it’s a line or small dots.  Just something to help me line up to the ball’s alignment arrow.

And Evnroll allows you to choose from top line or flange line alignment lines which is pretty cool

they offer custom lengths in 1/4” increments for a $10 up charge.

Sweet looking putter.  I love my ER5 - would like to see what an EVNRoll is like with a graphite shaft in it though.  wink, wink, nod, nod.

Thanks for sharing your experience.  Golf OEMs generally have great customary service so to stand out one needs to be superior.
