According to GolfWeek / USA Today, the guy was taken to to the Royal Infirmary of Edenborough.  To me, that suggests the guy isn't well mentally or was dangerously high on an unknown substance.

John Rahm said he reeked of alcohol ... "thought it was Vodka."  So apparently he thought it would be funny to do it.  Rahm also said "I thought at one point he was going to Happy Gilmore the headcover."   Which I thought was hilarious!  LOL

When I first heard about this, I thought Phil was in Scotland before The Open but I didn't think he went this week.  

Watching the video, the guy seemed mentally impaired somehow.  Crazy to not see the caddie all over the guy like they tend to do with fans on the course.  If it were Tiger's bag and Stevie was the caddie, the guy would be on the ground.

they need to step up the security around those guys.  A 9 iron to the Achilles… or head… could ruin the year.

Absolutely unbelievable to see someone just walk up all nonchalant and pull a club from a Tour Pro’s bag. I would love to know what Rory & Rahm were thinking while it was all going on. Truth be told, it was also pleasant to see how calmly it was handled by everyone involved.

They both said.  They thought he was a photographer or tournament rep as he was so calm and obvious about it.  They thought he belonged there for a moment.  Until he dropped the headcover on the tee box and was waggling like he was about to tee off
