I think the contests being referred to at the ones on social media;  lots of individuals and companies give away all kinds of merchandise.  There aren't many contests other than fantasy sports and major event pick-ems.

To all the new members: as @cnosilstated I'm talking about the contests on social media. There is always a bit of disconnect for new members who join MyGolfSpy based on an opportunity to test new equipment.

Testing opportunities are not "contests" you don't "win" anything. Instead you are expected to provide a service to the community by doing extensive testing and writing multiple reviews that can help members decide whether that equipment might be right for them. It's real work that takes lots of time and effort, it's not a freebie. 

If you've just jointed MGS, stick around, engage with community members read some of the official product reviews to get a feel for what being a tester entails.
