BK_Strozier
New Member here and figured that I would share what I'm rocking. I expect that I will be making some updates as I continue diving back into golf. My plan currently is to start with my putter and work my way to a accurately gapped set of wedges, a new 3 Wood, and maybe just maybe a Driver(I've never played a Drive, my 3 Wood typically goes far enough about 270 and strait). Woods: Ping G10 13.5° Stiff Flex Hybrid: King Cobra Baffler 3H 20° Regular Flex Irons: 3-PW Mizuno MP-67 Stiff Flex Wedges: Titleist, Vokey Design 56° Cleveland, RTX 588 60° Putter: Exotics, David Gold Tour Proto, DGv1.1 Gavwlee, BIG STU, DStar and 1 other 4 Quote Ping G10 3 Wood, 15.5° Cobra Baffler, 3 hybrid Mizuno MP-67, 3-PW Ping Glide Forged Pro, 52° & 56° Evnroll, ER2
BIG STU
Love it man right up my alley--- Hey it does not have to be the latest newest or greatest new thing to play well. Those MP-67s are a cult classic in many circles. In fact this may be shocking coming from a dyed in the wool Macgregor man but I do own a set of MP-68s--- I actually need to reshaft those. I keep those around part of my "conforming set" if I ever want to play comp again BK_Strozier and sirchunksalot 2 Quote Driver ---- Callaway Big Bertha Alpha Speeder 565 R flex- 5W TM V-Steel Fubuki 60r--- 7W TM V-Steel UST Pro Force Gold 65R----- 9 W TM V Steel TM MAS stiff---- Irons 2015 TM TP CB Steel Fiber 95 R--- GW Callaway Mack Daddy 2 52* shaft unknown junk pile refugee. BK_Strozier
I absolutely love the MP-67s and don't expect ill change these out anytime soon. I took about a 10 year break from playing so coming back to these is testing me to say the least. The test also has its benefits because the feel of these irons provide so much feedback on each shot. Gavwlee
I’m completely in the same boat! I “rebuilt” my bag after a few years away and went with gear that I knew and was comfortable with but now thinking I should have embraced new tech for an “easier” re-introduction to the game. If the sweet spot bashers (tour pros) are playing players distance/cavities, I should be in some super game improvements BK_Strozier 1 Quote Mizuno ST-Z 220 9.5* Diamana D+ White 60S | Titleist 917F2 17* Diamana TB 70S | Titleist 913 Hybrid 19* Diamana White 92HY S | Mizuno JPX 921 Forged Nippon Modus Tour 115 S (4-GW) | Vokey SM5 52* (playing 53*) and 58* | Odyssey Black Series Tour Design No. 5 | Bridgestone Tour B XS | Mizuno BR-D4 6-Way California Blue
BK_Strozier
I cannot agree more. I'm trying to make sure I don't let my ego get in the way as rebuild my set. Before I update anything my goal is to get down to single digits. Step one has been hitting the range twice a week, step two is getting a putting matte and the puttout pressure putt trainer, and step three is forgetting my ego as I build my bag.
