Lots of tour pros have or tried both.

On the serious side swing speed and choosing club based solely on that is like flipping a coin.

Nowadays all major manufacturers are maxed out on ball speed when you hit it on the screws. Some might vary slightly when you vary from the center but for most of us it's negligible. Doubt you'll see much performance difference between them with the same shaft. Gonna come down to sound and feel which is personal preference. Personally, I've hit both and the Mavrik is the best sounding/feeling head since the Cleveland HiBore but just my opinion.

I have never liked the Sim 2.  The way it sounds, the way it hits, the look from above, it does zero for me.

Now the Callaway Mavrik Triple Diamond, and the new Callaway Epic Speed Triple Diamond are ridiculously good clubs. Not for everyone, but they just check all the boxes.  I was a huge fan of the PING 410 LST too.  (The new one 425 has a hiss when you swing it back, not a fan).
