Jonny_Crash
I found this chart the other day and it got me thinking about the percentages. In theory your PW is 50% of your driver carry, assuming clean and efficient strikes. It got me thinking about my clubs and my relative efficiencies with the various clubs. I am more efficient and consistent with my swing up to about a 6 iron (higher percentage). Then at my 5i - 3W, it looks like I'm less efficient and fall below these percentages. It could be that my driver carry is inefficient as well, which means my long irons are even more inefficient than meets the eye. None of this is shocking (long irons are harder to hit), but I thought it was interesting and I'd never seen the % breakdown before. MaxEntropy
That's interesting. I've never seen anything like that. Here are my Arccos stats: My 4h is a little short, but I choke down on it and use in place of my very inconsistent 5i quite often. Partial wedges also skew my data somewhat. 6 and 7 are nearly the same because of the layout of my league course, where most of my rounds happen. 3 of the 5 par 3's play similar distance, but depending on the wind are a 6 or 7. Otherwise, it seems to line up pretty well. GolfSpy_SHARK
Much like @MaxEntropymy wedges are used for a lot of partial shots, very rarely am I taking full swings after the PW but it is about 50% so that’s interesting. Other than that pretty consistent gapping (don’t mind the hybrid working it in and will be taking the 56 out) needed to cover that 220 gap MaxEntropy, GolfSpy BOS and bens197 3 Quote Check out my reviews: G710 Irons Official Review I MC Shaft & V Series Putter Official Review 2022 Forged Tec's Official Review I Nitron Push Cart Official Review WITB: Weapons of grass destruction (link to WITB) Traverse is filled with all this shiny metal and tracked by RadSpeed 8* - MotoreX F1 6X SIM 3W - Project X HZRDUS Green U505 Driving Iron 17* - Project X HZRDUS Black SpeedZone 4H - Project X HZRDUS Black 2022 King Forged Tec's 4-PW - KBS $ Tape 130 48 (SM8), 52 & 60 (SM7) - Nippon Modus 125 S ER2VI PROV1X #19 Are you a veteran? GolfSpy BOS
Seems I’m right in line with that I should be seeing based on the Red 7 grouping. My total numbers are a little longer than the carry+roll they show, but I’m also not stoping my 7 and 6 iron within 6 feet most of the time. Also I’m sure that my 6 iron being 182 vs this chart showing 175 total has more to do with the loft of my irons than my efficiency with them. You can also throw me in the don’t make a full swing with wedges group. My max 60* is probably closer to 80 than 90…. But even my max is prob closer to a 3/4 with them. This is a cool chart and one I saved. Hopefully I’ll pick up some more speed and can re-check my numbers after to make sure I’m still in line! Shankster
Here is my mess… the “A” wedge is 48°, I guess it falls in line with what that chart says. The T100•S’ are on the juice, so those numbers are up a smidge. Just think of the PW as a “Strong PW” at 44°… Quote Link to comment

Just goes to show that sometimes stronger lofts are good (which was something I was really concerned about going into #CC4). I know my gapping wasn't nearly as good with my old 714 AP2s, particularly around the 5 and 6 irons and hybrid slot. HeathS16
THIS is cool I haven’t seen anything like this breakdown and it certainly got me thinking. Here is my messy little chart: I seem to be “ok” according to the percentage breakdowns in the OP but my gapping between my 8 and 7 needs to be better I think. The 5W has only been in the bag for 2 weeks and the 4i has only been in the bag for 10 rounds. But Arccos says it has 6.5 k shots recorded so I’d say this is pretty accurate Perrymr and MaxEntropy 2 Quote Driver: TSi3 Tester Check out the Review HERE 2-Iron- 699-U 5-Wood: Pro (18*) Irons : i210 4-PW Wedges: RTX-4 50* and 54* RTX-3 *58 Putter: Impact No. 3 Ball: MAXFLI TOUR Tracked by: Bag: BagBoy ZTF Stand Bag (REVIEW HERE) Link to comment

TR1PTIK
I've never seen a chart like that before, but as others have commented it seems fairly accurate compared to my own distances. On average I'm about 260 carry with my driver and the rest of my clubs follow closely to what's shown in the chart. Also as others have mentioned, I don't typically hit all my wedges 100%. However, I do chart full swings with every wedge when I'm at the range because it's important for me to know what 100% looks like. Again, very close to what the chart describes. Good share.
